Searching for the perfect couch had always been a long, arduous endeavor that involved pouring over online couch measurements and measuring countless couches in person in showrooms. After not being able to find a couch that would fit our space perfectly and not wanting to compromise, we decided to visit What A Room after hearing about the company online. Overall, we are extremely happy with our couch and recommend What A Room to everyone that mentions they're in the market for a couch. Below is more detail on the entire process.

The showroom was very clean and all the pieces in the store were well spaced out which made it very easy to see all sides of the furniture. The employees in the showroom were very courteous and let us freely view and try out every couch without pressuring or rushing us at all.

We found a design that we liked and were able to specify all the measurements such as overall length, seat depth, arm rest height and width, and leg height. We were also able to specify how many cushions for the span of the couch and most importantly we were able to specify the firmness of the bottom cushions, something that no other furniture store we visited could do. After going over all of the design specifications and choosing the material, we were able to pay with a credit card and were on our way.

The employee mentioned it could take around 4 to 6 weeks for the custom couch to be delivered as it would be made to order. After about 4 weeks we received a text confirming our availability for the following Sunday for delivery. On the delivery day the crew texted that they were on their way, and were very professional and courteous throughout the delivery process. The crew unloaded the couch, removed all packaging material, and placed our new couch exactly where we wanted it.

The couch was exactly as we had specified, and fit our space beautifully. The couch was free of any visible defects or shipping damage. The couch did have a bit of a smell which was strongest the first day after delivery, but completely went away after a few days. We went with the firm seat cushions and have been extremely happy with our decision, as it is very comfortable for sitting or laying down. We are aware that the cushions will soften as they break in, but the showroom has representative couches to get a good feel of how they will settle.

I recently moved to the Bay Area and was looking to furnish my apartment. I was having a difficult time doing so because this was my first time furnishing an apartment and online vendors/big chain stores aren't super attentive/informative and they don't provide good quality assurance, if any. So I decided to use google maps to look at local stores. That's when I came across What A Room. My experience at What A Room has been phenomenal! The customer service is top tier, the representatives are friendly and super helpful! They work with you to help you find the furniture you're looking for as well as provide you with advice and suggestions when you need them. What was even more surprising was how friendly and understanding they were when there was an issue with an order (I received the wrong item due to a communication error). I expected to be shirked or penalized for the inconvenience, but they were respectful and cooperative in understanding the error and fixing the issue immediately! Shout out to Duy and Quynh for all their hard work and impeccable service! In regards to the furniture itself, I have been very satisfied with everything I've purchased. They offer a wide range of products from various catalogs and they also have some show rooms to help you get a feel for things. In regards to prices, the prices range from a few hundred to a few thousand depending on the item and its quality. I purchased items at various price points, and I never felt like I was overpaying for anything. I payed more for super nice quality items and less for cost efficient functional items. Lastly, they specialize in couches, and I mean it! From fabric to cushions to arm height, nearly every facet of my sectional was customizable! You can't go wrong by getting your couch at What A Room. I recently had the pleasure of shopping at What A Room Furniture and I was very impressed with the quality of their mattresses and sofas. The mattress was incredibly comfortable as I got the extra firm option, and it's been a game-changer for my sleep. As someone with chronic back pain, finding the right mattress is crucial. We also bought a sofa, which we were able to customize using the one on display as inspiration. The color green stuck out and I loved the modern look and feel of it. It's added extra color to our living room and we were overdue for an upgrade. The staff was also very helpful and knowledgeable, and they were able to answer all of our questions.
