Smoothie Warriors — Restaurant in San Marcos

I did not enjoy my visit. Upon walking in the atmosphere was subtle and nice as well as the lady at the front counter. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted so I let someone go ahead while I looked. I asked if they had certain ingredients I was looking for such as kale or almonds and they didn't have any so i settled on a strawberry banana with pineapple and mango with spinach. When I received my drink it was VERY sweet. I wasn't sure I could stomach it so I ended up turning around and walking back in to ask if she could add anything to make it less sweet because I didn't understand why it was so sweet. She asked what I would like put in it to be less sweet so i asked her if she would please not add honey. I was told she didn't put it in there. So I asked why it was so sweet...she had no answer. I then noticed it said they also add turbinado so I requested none of that. Again she said she didn't add that either...so...what did you put in my smoothie? After a long time of getting no answer, sitting there like an idiot, and seeming like one of "those customers" I was getting upset. She wanted me to come to a conclusion on how to fix it but she couldn't even tell me what she did put in the smoothie. I knew there was absolutely NO WAY that was all natural sugar. She FINALLY tells me it could be the strawberries but not WHY. So I figured it out myself and then asked. I asked if the strawberries sat in a sweetener or a sugar syrup and she said yes...wow, it took that long for me to get an answer by that point I just wanted to leave, too much sugar, not enough product, and lack of info from a supposedly healthy smoothie shop. She offered to make another without strawberry, at that point I was so flustered and not thinking, I asked if she had suggestions. I ended up just telling her what i wanted that didn't sit in syrup which was pineapple, blueberry, and mango with spinach. I had to yell to her twice about the spinach because she kept walking away. I'm sure she was flustered at this point but so was I. I get my drink and this just tasted like puree ice with light blueberry pineapple flavor. I watched her make my smoothie and asked if she had put the mango, she said she did, but I didn't see it and I definitely didn't taste it. $9 drink was an absolute disappointment and what started out okay ended up...

Welcoming atmosphere. Found Smoothie Warriors when looking for a locally owned business for a smoothie. The smoothies are made with real pronounceable ingredients. The small smoothie size is 20 ounces so you are not going to expect a normal small size and get hit with a toddler size. Don’t worry you can go up to 44 oz. Smoothie Warriors have 2 oz shots— this really made me happy since I really was looking for a shot place for times when I need a boost to immune system or energy. They have fresh juices 12 or 20 ounces, oatmeal, soups ( you can request chicken stock or vegetable stock) ask about the seasonal soups. They also have green smoothies and protein smoothies. They have other drinks hot or cold tea and cold brew coffee. Matcha. Bottled drinks also . They sell the plants that line the windows, they have homemade candles $3 & $10 . They sell homemade beef jerky in mason jars. There are mugs for sell, stainless steel tumblers and t-shirts. The walls are colorful but have a peaceful vibe. There’s no WiFi but they do take contactless payment like Apple Pay of course cash and card. Feel free to add to the tip jar. Everything on menu is made fresh daily. Loved the creamy caffeine fruit drink-strawberry, orange, banana. You can get a to go cup holder for multiple drinks if taking orders for your office, friends, family etc.You will want to come back. Refreshing...

I got a Peaceful Peach with a side of beautiful customer service 🥲🧡 For my first few visits, I continuously missed the chance of trying out this spot due to them being closed and being unaware of their new COVID hours. Thankfully though, one morning, I finally got word of their after hours and since one of the employees saw I had been sitting out in their curbside and had called he graciously made my drink ON THE HOUSE anyways even though he was only in to just grab a few supplies for his own home before they opened at 12. Hands down the best customer service I have experience in San Mo. I’ve been feeling like sh*t from the Cedar blowing in the air and but his thoughtfulness and care has me excited and delighted to come back! (during scheduled business hours lol) Thank you...
