I ordered a refrigerator Wednesday. I told them I needed a small truck to deliver it because I had a long driveway. They told me it would be delivered on Saturday. Friday I got a 4 hour window for Saturday delivery. Later that day, I got a message that the delivery would be on Monday, as that was the earliest a small truck was available. Monday- no notice about a delivery window. I call HD- "you're two stops away". Next text gave me 10 minutes notice. The truck arrives. I'm told they brought the big truck, so they can't deliver it! Call HD-first, like usual, no one answers the phone after 15 minutes on hold. I call HD.com, they try to help. They get a hold of a manager, who says they're working on it, and will call me in an hour. I get a call from a salesperson who can't explain what happened, and tells me the fridge is on the large truck till the end of the day, and they will know later when it will be delivered. I have taken off a day from work and so has my wife, to make sure the delivery goes smoothly. We emptied the refrigerator in anticipation of delivery, so food and medicines are ruined by this delay. Stuff like this is unacceptable. Also, it's almost impossible to talk to anyone by phone, and finding in store help is difficult. Who needs this aggravation when trying to buy an expensive appliance. And it seems there is always a problem with large purchases, especially appliances. This place is unprofessional.
Add- they just messed up the 2nd delivery, after promising it would be delivered today. No one answers the phone. No one knows what's going on. Awful!!!@
Add on- the delivery took place. The guys damaged my hardwood floors with their dolly. Awaiting a call from HD insurance co. The nightmare that just keeps giving. Never again do I deal with...
Read moreI am a general contractor and I expend more than 1 million dollars in Home Depot every year. I have been always happy with the services but today 5/11/23 around 3 pm I was in San Ramon location with my 78 year old father that he is suffering from cancer. We were in the doors section and we find the door we need in the top shelfs that need to be move down with a Home Depot worker. After waiting to see if someone is available for long time I went to the cashier and asked her to call someone to come to the Island 28 to help us and she did. I came back to the Island 28 and Gabby the lady that was sitting close there and was speaking with other customers told me with a very rude tone (you have to be patient) I didn’saanything and I thought maybe she had a bad day, when she finished with her costumer she came to us and we showed her what do we need. She said again with a very rude tone to my father go and close the gate she is going to use the elevator to bring the door for us. And she did. My father asked her for more items we needed and she disappeared . We were waiting 30 minutes until she came back and my father told her he had cancer and why you left us with out letting us know. She gets very angry and said she was in the restroom. She said she doesn’t want to speak with us and doesn’t want to help us at all. My father asked her what is your name? She used a bad word to my father. I get angry and screamed of her (be polite) she used bad language and just left us. So We went to other Home Depot location in Pleasant town and we did our purchases over there. I hope a manager of Home Depot read my message and if they have cameras just checks what happened in San Ramon location. Home Depot always had very good customer service. She ruins Home...
Read moreDO NOT PURCHASE ANY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT! This is not necessarily for the san Ramon branch, but for Home Depot in general. I bought an expensive appliance (in-wall GE oven) from Home Depot during their 2025 July 4th sale and included haul away of the old one as part of the delivery and installation. The delivery guy came to deliver the appliance to our new home a few days later, but refused to take away the old oven if it was not already disconnected and removed from the wall. This policy was not specified when I made this expensive purchase. I was overseeing my kitchen renovation at the time, and did not have the man power to remove the appliance right away and give them the old unit. The delivery driver told us that we will have upto a month to return the appliance if its unopened and still in the box. So I agreed and left the box in my garage. 10 days later, when the kitchen renovations were complete, we realized that we will need a different unit in the wall oven area. So I got help from my friends and loaded the oven in my car, took it to San Ramon Home depot and asked them to take it back, since it was unopened and within the 1 month time frame. The store refused to take it back. I tried their customer service, they denied. I tried their appliance department, they said they wont take it back since appliace is a third party. Contacted GE and they said they cant do anything since it was bought through Home depot. I tried to chat with their support, they were also unable to help. 2 months later, the appliance is still sitting in my garage, with no takers on FB marketplace, or Craigslist, even though I am selling at a super discounted rate. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY APPLIANCES...
