A group of went for a comedy show. My husband and I have been a few times and had high expectations. We love comedy shows so it seemed like a great idea. We went in around 6:20 and was sat right away. It took a little bit for a server to take our drink and food order, but understandable. It took about 10 minutes for a water and one mixed drink. Took another 10 minutes for our food to arrive. Again - kinda understable but it was only waffles. By this point the other members of our group arrived and ordered water (again 10 min just to get a water). The food was not what we ordered. The server was delivering food to another table so we waited until she was available to get her attention. I let her know it wasn't what we ordered - she didn't apologize or say anything just snatched it away and took it back to the kitchen. About 10 min later a different server apologized. It took 30 minutes to get an extremely hard waffle with ice cream and cool whip. Could eat the waffle after it soaked in the ice cream for awhile. During the 1 1/2 hr show we had a server ask if we needed anything 2 times. Everyone got their checks before the show ended...we finally started to put our coats on to leave, figured they weren't charging us since the food mistake and poor service. They did walk over and hand it to us as we were walking away. Absolutely horrible service and food. Lets not talk about how bad the comedians were, but a restaurant really can't control the context of...
Read moreI will preface this review by saying I did not come for the alcohol but instead the food. Menu was weird to me but I like to try places innovative and fresh so I wasn’t turned off by the size and selection… at first. Ordered charcuterie, cheese board, cheese dip and olives and NOTHING, down to the few pieces of fruit that accompanied, tasted fresh. Everything was the same quality and specialty as the local big box grocery store. The items exuded their lack of creativity. Rolled and chopped and thrown together. It’s not my job to give advice only to give a review of my experience but if they had cooked a cheese dip, baked fresh bread, used local seasonal fruit maybe local fresh honey, served specialty olives direct from somewhere, and-or took time to pair specialty cheese with specialty meat I would have been all about the place. All ingredients were likely from one general restaurant supply truck to the table. Some people may not be bothered by this but I feel like if I can make something better at home I don’t feel good about spending near $100 to buy at a restaurant. As for the one sip of my company’s cocktail the taste was good but was very light on the alcohol. While learning from my husband who has 15 years experience working in the best restaurants in Columbus I have developed such a critical mind when paying for food and my expectations here were disappointed. Sorry, I didn’t take photos...
Read moreWe had the BEST time at Everwild distillery in Sandusky, Ohio. The distillery is absolutely gorgeous inside, you can tell that they went to great lengths to make such a beautiful environment with plenty of comfortable seating, and more than enough space to feel like you can spread out with your group. The staff were friendly and attentive, and more than willing to help make suggestions! The Seekers bourbon is smooth, and an absolute value for the price! We even purchased several bottles to bring home. Normally my husband is the bourbon drinker, but their strawberry basil bourbon smash has me converted. The specialty drinks were fun to try - Excellent flavors. We tried a bunch of food to share - cheese plate was well thought out, we loved both hot pretzels, and the flatbreads and carnetuffa were wonderful!!! For dessert - the lemoncello marscapone cake can’t be skipped. We cannot wait to come back and relax with drinks on the amazing outdoor space as well. If you are a bourbon lover - you need to check out this Ohio made bourbon by a...
