Don’t sale to them unless you’re desperate and definitely not your higher priced items! I found through trial and error you only bring your cheap Charlotte Russe stuff you paid 20 bucks for. I looked around and saw stuff in clearly over used condition, stained, etc. They love tacky, see through, cheap, club wear from Charlotte Russe and other cheaper places. I bring a Marc Jacobs bag I bought last summer for 350 in like new condition and a pair of Nike 270’s I bought for 150 in September also like new condition and they offer $28. No thanks, not desperate, just need to clear closet space and I have a lot more dope designer and namebrand stuff I definitely won’t be bringing here. I know a selling app will get me at least 130 for both items. So I suggest for your higher end items this isn’t the place. But brought a few hoodies I paid 50 for and wore a bunch and a body suit I paid 20 for at Charlotte Russe and I got almost $60. I wonder if the owner understands how much money he’s losing because of this backwards logic. Not to mention they told me 20 minutes and the girl reiterated that they would send a text message when ready so wait for the message to pick up. So me being respectful of their wishes after about 45 minutes when they told me it would take 20 I went into the store looked around for about 20 minutes sat down waited for the message to come which never did finally in an hour and a half I said I’m going to ask and sure enough my stuff had been ready but I did as you asked and was waiting for her message that never came. so me being respectful of their wishes after about 45 minutes when they told me it would take 20 I went into the store looked around for about 20 minutes sat down waited for the message to come which never did finally in an hour and a half I said I’m going to ask and sure enough my stuff had been ready but I did as you asked and was waiting for her message that never came. Great customer service! The guy that was working was nice and helpful it’s just the other girl he was working with had a bad attitude insisted I wait but then never got a message. It sucks because I have some really great stuff and everything is in great condition because I might have used it or worn it once or twice but I won’t bring it here and that sucks because I know there’s people out there that may not want to buy brand new at full price and so they could have something really nice that’s designer or namebrand in great condition for a good price that they can afford but Plato’s isn’t going to be that place they’re going to find...
Read moreIt wouldn't have been the worst experience if I wasn't the size I was. I saw a bunch of cute trendy stuff it was great only to look and see that it was mostly mediums, smalls and extra smalls. I try to give clothes a chance usually in the large section. But I know when something just won't fit. So I go to the plus-size section and it's the same thing but only an even smaller section. Not much to work with or choose from. I'm struggling with an ED and seeing people have instant gratification with finding clothes is very discouraging combined with the very small space. Walking out empty handed is usual for me. It's just that the little faith I do have in thinking I might actually find something is fading rapidly. I'm starving myself hoping I can finally enjoy the thrill of clothes shopping with everyone else but for now I will just wear the same clothes I've been wearing for almost 3 years. It's way too expensive to buy plus size clothes that are even the same style as the ones for smaller people. I don't want to keep dressing like an old woman. I'm only 26. I wear the same clothes sometimes 3 times straight because of the way the clothes i have look on me. Online shopping is cool and all i just want the feeling everyone else gets carrying a bag out of the store and not being bankrupted by just having 2 pieces of clothing that arent even a different style or variety (Torrid)like other stores. Long story short I left crying and won't be shopping anywhere because I know I just won't find anything flattering for my body type...I was really trying to be body positive this time. I've tried dieting, eating healthy, not eating, and even exercise. I just can't get the weight off. Knowing I won't find anything I spent my money that would have been used for clothes, on food that I didn't eat because the food wasn't made correctly and I didn't catch it until I got home. I will just call this a loss and order clothes off shein that I won't even know will fit until I get them. and probably have to send them back and wait for a refund again... I didn't ask for this...
Read moreI originally came here when Rag-O-Rama denied most of the items I brought, after they had told me over the phone what types of mens items to bring that they purchase. I brought those items in and after over an hour in which they strongly suggested not to leave the store, they said they would only buy 1 item, and these were all in at least good condition jeans, long sleeves, flannels, etc…
I went a block down to this Plato’s and they told me they were unfortunately full for the day(around 4pm) due to employee shortage. I decided I would try again before going to goodwill and came back the next day. I went before 12pm and there was already a line. Customer service was professional and polite and they took my number when it was my turn so they could text me when they had made a decision. The wait time was accurate and they ended up buying more than half of what I had and I received more than I expected. Would definitely sell here again.
PROS: Their system is way better than Rag-O-Rama. They don’t force you to stay in the store because they don’t put clothes out before consulting with you. So you can go do what you have to do and just come back before they close.
They have fair pricing. Have reasonable expectations. It all would’ve gone to goodwill so I was satisfied with what they gave me.
Although I didn’t buy anything they do have a decent selection, and their selection is reflective of what they say they purchase as well.
Customer service is friendly and polite and they move pretty quick through the lines.
CONS: You have to get there early, before buying starts, if you don’t want to wait awhile or risk them being full for the day.
They do seem understaffed for how busy it gets. This goes along with the wait times.
Most of the selection is for women and the selection for men didn’t have a lot of items in...
