Periwinkle Place — Local services in Sanibel

I lost my wallet here this morning in the washroom . I was really upset, I checked everywhere for hours but ultimately thought it was stolen and gone for good. I checked everywhere and nobody had seen it. All the shop owners were very concerned and helped me track it down. The owners of periwinkle place found out about my allegedly stolen wallet and they were extremely upset that something like this couldve happened on their property. The owners actually gave me $80 out of their own pocket because they knew I had that much cash when the wallet was lost and tried to give back whatever they could. Someone ended up turning It in to The Butterfly Place store with all my cards and money still in it. Be prepared to spend money, everything is generally expensive though you can find little stuff for relatively cheap. The shops are air conditioned but it's an open boardwalk that I really wish had fans going bc it was very very hot! There is an upscale jewelry place that my family has been going to for generations now-my dads mom, him and my mom, and now me...got a gorgeous diamond and pearl seahorse pendant with a diamond and gold chain, so sparkly and pretty but it cost over 2 grand! Def pieces you wear your whole life! There is a restaurant called the blue giraffe there that my family has been going to for generations as well and unfortunately it hasnt held up as well as the jewelry placd-they redecorated and got rid of the booths they also used to be a ice cream place too but all that had was vanilla...it would have been nice to see it in its heyday, was not impressed. Of all the shopping places on the island this is my favorite. Great stores easy place use a stroller it and it is shaded. Fresh Produce, Chicos, Naples Soap Company, Butterfly Beach, Blue Giraffe, Congress jewelers, and Classic Collections formally known as (Pandoras Box) just to name a few there is something for everyone. I usually have my dog with me and all the stores welcome her I have not any issues, some stores even have waterbowls outside their entrance. The Blue Giraffe offers outside seating with your dog. They have a small butterfly hummingbird garden with a fountain and benches. They also have nice grassy areas shade trees, a kids playground, and a large fountain. This is our go to place...
