In Tahitian Gardens there is a nice cafe with a indie/hipster vibe. While I'm not a fan of that scene its nice to get away from the island theme sometimes. They have some excellent food and drinks at island prices. The staff is very friendly and I'll definitely make this my new coffee place on Sanibel.

Tahitian Gardens is definitely on an upswing. Great shops abound, of course a few favorites. Having nice public restrooms that are clean and easily accessible is a huge bonus. We always make a stop or two during our trips to Sanibel.

I believe this is the second biggest shopping plaza on the island. I think it has such a great variety of stores. Love Pandoras with their cool trinkets, great place to get unique gifts! AIP Outfitters has an awesome assortment of menswear and accessories. Sanibel Cafe is there for a delicious breakfast, and the milkshakes at CheeburgerCheeburger are to die for!! A rather sad, disappointing outdoor shopping strip in which most of the shops are either closed or completely out of business.

Save your time and head elsewhere, nothing worth seeing here as there are only about 5 or 6 open shops out of dozens of closed shops located in the plaza. If there is a particular shop you are interested in and know it is located in this plaza then its an easy in and easy...

Stopped here with family while I was visiting Cape Coral. My sister was looking to do some Christmas shopping and we picked the right shopping center. Tahitian Gardens has a great variety of smaller stores with something for everyone, including some good choices for a meal.
