Walked into the store to buy 1 game as I haven’t been able to buy games as frequent anymore. I was asked 4 separate times to sign up for the pro membership. I clearly did not want it as buying it does me no good for savings/credits. I mentioned how very little I actually come to the store and I don’t want to spend more money than I already am. The game advisor literally wanted me to take a photo of their Pro tier list so that and I quote “so my boss knows I talked to you about it”. I declined to do so and stated I would be happy to say so in the survey to which I was told “there are no surveys”. I walked out mid conversation saying thank you for pressuring me into things I don’t want to do.
This store is a joke to have employees who don’t know when to accept the no gracefully from a sale. I am fully aware that is their job to sell pro memberships and warranties as I had worked for GS for a long time, but it’s clear that either the employees don’t care about how an interaction is conducted OR the company will give disciplinary action for non performing employees. Possibly both.
GameStop has come such a far way down in terms of quality and customer experience. Good luck to this employee and her future experiences and to this location to see if it will follow the other two that had closed down...
Read moreThis review is for one staff member in particular. Staff member was named Sean. I went in the store to look around, found a PS5 game brand new for a great price went to check out with another staff member. They were great, made me laugh and made me felt welcome. Before I left the store I realized the game I bought the disc was loose and moving around inside the game case. I went back to the register but the original staff member was already helping someone else. So I went to Sean the next available staff member. Let him know I just bought this game but it sounds loose, I don’t want to ruin the risk of going home opening it and it’s all scratched up. The response I got from Sean was, “It’s not going to be scratched up, but ok”, I replied with “better safe than sorry”. Sean just seemed to be very annoyed that I was returning the game because I didn’t want a scratched disc. He mentioned to me that all PS5 games are like that and they are cheap cases. Which I know this to be false since I have bought PS5 games from target and Walmart and even used games at GameStop and all did not have the same loose disc sound. Sean was very unprofessional with his customer service. Also the store smelled like a sweaty Pokemon scalper that has been waiting for a restock of...
Read moreI came to this location on Christmas eve to just browse the ps5 selection. When I entered, I was greeted by the familiar face of Sean. He did ask if I needed help and what I was looking for. After a little back and forth. I realized one of my dogs was so excited that he peed the floor. Sean noticed and grabbed some paper towels to help me clean up the mess. I Sanitized the area with a wipe that I had. Sean was very understanding and still was upbeat with helping me out. I definitely reccomend going to this location for the atmosphere provided by the top performers that work here.
Just don't bring your...
