Roots in Santa Fe — Local services in Santa Fe

This is by far one of the classiest and fun boutiques I’ve been to. I live in Texas and we have a lot of great boutiques, but what I love about Roots is their unique selection, great customer service and high end merchandise. The owner definitely has an eye for accessorizing her clients.

I am actually thinking about planning a private event with my team there!

PS… I saw the other review about profiling. I will say that although I don’t know the specifics, I grew up in NM, am first generation Mexican American, and on my last visit to NM the Walgreens didn’t have gift bags displayed. I asked why and they said it was because of the major increase in theft. Apparently, customers were using the gift bags to steal.

This makes me sad for both the customer and business owners. Unfortunately, it creates an environment of distrust. So for perspective, if a large corporation like Walgreens has made a decision to protect themselves from theft and their margins are significantly higher than a small boutique, how can we blame small business owners from being conservative when their cost of theft is putting food on their own kid’s tables. A simple misunderstanding is easily ratified when approached with respect and any verbal apology at all. I received a blank stare. Picture it.

UPDATE: NO APOLOGY or admittance that there was a mistake. Look at who is leaving reviews trying to bury mine; and get an idea of who is treated well and who is immediately profiled. Poorly handled and unprofessional. Whoever was there today accused me of stealing a pair of earrings that were missing. In front of other customers. I was trying to ask her if the hat sale included the ones by the door; but she immediately demanded some “missing” pair of earrings i’d been looking at recently. There were no missing earrings. This store is amazing. I love the product and the owner has such a beautiful vision. The pricing is reasonable for such high-quality pieces. Check out the jewelry case - you will find amazing treasures there. They have some stunning beaded bracelets from Peyote Bird, and it looks like the entire inventory has been carefully curated and lovingly selected by someone with true design sense.
