Wander New Mexico Food Tours — Local services in Santa Fe

This food tour was absolutely wonderful! Joe was extremely knowledgeable and provided us great recommendations that lasted us the rest of the trip. The tour was the perfect size and length, and although we walked a bit, it was at a very good pace. It was also a cold day, so Joe provided us hand warmers to keep us warm. The food was delicious, and since our group was on the smaller side, we were able to meet and learn about the chef's/owner's lives. At the end of the tour, Joe asked each party what they were looking for during the rest of their trip, and provided recommendations. We listened to his recommendations for that evening and loved it. We even texted him later in our trip asking for recommendations in Taos, and he was on point for the restaurant he told us to go to. Overall, this was one of the best tours I've done. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Lauren and Wander New Mexico. My husband reached out to Wander New Mexico (Lauren) prior to our trip to Santa Fe, and Lauren helped him plan our week long, amazing trip. Lauren is everything from a tour guide, gastro guide, Santa Fe “Guru”, culinary chef, your personal Santa Fe assistant, and by the end of the trip she will also be your best friend! Lauren planned everything for us, including all of our dinner reservations, chef tastings, a personal chef prepared tasting at our condo, a day at the mineral baths, a food and wine tour and so much more! She was always there to answer any questions we had and give us helpful advice and recommendations. Lauren knows everyone in town and has the most fun, bubbly personality. My husband bought this for me for my birthday. We live in Albuquerque and had eaten in Santa Fe many times. I was thinking it would be all standard NM food. I was pleasantly surprised! There was a great mix of NM history and NM foods combined with other places unique to Santa Fe that highlighted how eclectic the city is. Lauren is warm, friendly and genuine. It’s clear she has a passion for what she does and meeting new people. She also has great relationships with the chefs and other people in the food industry. Lauren was great to ensure we all got to ask questions and enjoy our food and drinks while also moving us forward so you didn’t feel like you were dragging.
