I wish I could write a better review. This my first review in a long time and I'm saddened that its a bad one.

I finally decided to set up a bridal dress try in, though I did not take the quiz to see my personal style, I did come armed with screen shots of the possible David Bridal's dresses I would like to see if they had to try on. I was assigned to Nicole as my stylist and though helpful in finding dresses for me, why did she size me a size 12 and only give me dresses that are a size 4, 8, 10?

This was my first wedding dress appointment in general and I came alone because I don't have a wedding party. I was under the impression that a large chain like David's Bridal would have dresses of different sizes for people of different sizes? I did not get to see the styles of the dresses I did try on because of such ill fitting dresses. Did I like the dress? Yes. Did I like the dress on? I dont know. I could'nt zip it up. I couldn't get it past my waist. I couldn't envision myself wearing it down the aisle because I didn't feel pretty. I felt fat. I felt ugly. I felt like I was being bullied and tried to get a dress I didn't want because my stylist was so pushy. I was probably her last client that day and I can feel her trying to make sure I get the dress. (I did not. But maybe if I had a decent sized dress, I would have). I would have rather a larger dress pinned back so I could at least get a glimpse of what it was like to look like a bride instead of a fat kid trying on her hot moms clothes.

I look back in all the photos I had from the dressing room to see if maybe one dress was decent enough, but man, inside the dressing rooms lighting was horrible. The pictures taken by Nicole didn't even make it better because all I could see is a zipper unable to be closed from the back in my photos. All in all, horrible experience....

Delilah was so amazing. Making me feel beautiful and calming my nerves throughout the experience. This was my very first bridal appointment... and my LAST!! :) I said yes to the first dress I tried on. Delilah was very attentive in listening to my vision, what my likes and dislikes were - and catering to what would match (my veil to my dress). She really pulled together exactly what I wanted and didn't even know was possible - I really wanted a pearl veil but it clashed with my dress, so she pulled out a dainty sequins veil that looked like pearls and it was PERFECT. She also pulled out a clip to put in my hair/on top of the veil that my mom was so speechless - we bought the veil, clip, and wedding dress all at the appointment on Saturday 2/1 :)

The store manager greeted my mom & I right away and let us know what to expect for our appointment. We were a bit overwhelmed and went back to ask again and she was so kind in letting us know to browse and take photos of tags to try on so the stylist can pull it for us. The whole process was seamless - with so many workers around asking if we were ok or needed help. When we went to try on the dresses, my mom was able to help me try them on and it was a very special moment for us to go through that together. There are big mirrors with huge lights that makes the dresses really pop and stand out. Standing in front of that mirror, it was the easiest yes ever to say yes to the dress :)

My mother was so very kind to pay for my dress - and they have a "layaway" option that lets her pay it off in a couple months instead of all at once.

I am so grateful to Delilah, the store manager, and all the other team members who made me feel beautiful and special in this big moment of my wedding planning journey.

The store itself was well-organized, clean, and offered a wide variety of beautiful dresses and accessories. The entire team at David’s Bridal in Santee was professional and welcoming, creating a wonderful shopping atmosphere.

I highly recommend David’s Bridal in Santee, especially with Storm as your sales associate. She truly goes above and beyond to make your bridal shopping experience memorable and special.
