I was walking in the Burns Court area one weekend afternoon when I saw Todd Alan's Gallery and decided to walk in and look at his jewelry. What a lucky stop! Not only are there a lot of Mr. Alan's gorgeous creations, particularly braided rings, on display, but I was warmly greeted by Lyra, his daughter. I had a chance to speak to her at length about a project I'd been putting off. For several years, I had been wanting to have a ring made with an heirloom diamond that is very meaningful to me, but several of the local jewelers I consulted with were essentially business people, not artisans, so I didn't feel enough confidence and inspiration to move forward with a new ring. That is, until I brought the diamond toTodd Alan! Both he and Lyra are lovely people and really took their time to know what I was looking for. They were eventually able to match the stone with one of Todd's beautiful six-strand gold rings. Now, instead of sitting unused in a drawer, I have the pleasure of wearing a piece of family history in one of Todd Alan's beautiful creations. Our story is special. We live in the Netherlands. Anita had a vision about our wedding rings. We searched at the internet to find these wedding rings. We found the site handwovenbands, and we discovered that they make the exact same wedding rings as in the vision. We were amazed that this small, family run business far away in Sarasota, makes the rings from the vision. We contacted them, and Lyra helped us very kindly every step along the way.

We surely think God has given Todd and Lyra a very special talent. They make such special rings. For us it is so special that they create our rings that represent the alliance between two people and God.
