One-Fish Two-Fish — Local services in Savannah

My husband purchased a set of hand blown glass candlesticks for me for a mother's day gift while we were there on vacation. The clerk packaged them and gift wrapped for him to hand carry on the plane. When I opened them one had 2 cracks in the glass and the other had 1 crack. When my husband contacted the store and sent pictures of the cracks and proof of purchase he was told that they were packaged carefully and they would not do anything for him. They were packaged and handled carefully, therefore, they were cracked in the process of making them, or in the store. He did not inspect before purchase because he wanted them wrapped before I came into the store and would spoil the surprise, and at the cost of 65.00 he didn't think he would need to inspect them. We are both very upset that the store will not stand behind this purchase, as they did not inspect them either, and should want to make right this obvious issue with cracks prior...

Nice things but unpleasant shopping experience. My suggestion is to have guests leave their shopping bags or handbags at the counter and let them shop in peace. I like to take my time deciding on things but I left without buying what I wanted because the sales lady very obviously acted like I was stealing. She was even rude when I checked out. I spent around $20 but wanted to spend much more. Looks like others have had this experience as well. My son plays for GA Southern and they beat their rivals App State this weekend. I wanted to buy something to commemorate their win.
