You must tour the Andrew Low House while in Savannah! This is one of the most famous and beautiful homes located in the Historic District in town. Rich in history, once lived in by some of Savannah's past most prominent members of society. This includes the founder of The Girl Scouts, who lived as well as died in this house. The museum is open every day of the week and closed on major holidays. They offer discounted tour prices for seniors and students. It's free for military with ID and children under 6 years old. I was privileged to see this home after hours to enjoy ghost stories from within. It definitely has a different feel at night. Whatever your preference may be, whether you choose a historical tour or a more haunted version, you don't want to miss this important landmark...
Read moreWe visited the andrew low house while on a trolley tour. It is beautiful. And very well preserved. The tales of the misfortune that happened here are very interesting. While Juliette Gordon Low did live here, they have restored it back to the time before she lived in the home. It’s interesting to see a period accurate home but I would hardly say it’s worth the tour fee. A lot of the tour was talking about the furniture in the home. I was definitely unimpressed with the tour guide mentioning oh there are only 2 of these and the other one is in the White House etc.
TLDR: Tour focuses on the houses history and the furniture inside and won’t be that interesting to those visiting hoping to learn about Girl...
