I do not recommend this place to no one, if I could give less than one star I would. I gave them my expensive PC computer for an overheating issue. They claimed that the diagnostic revealed that I will have to replace the fans. They charged me $ 250 to replace both fans. We got the computer back after 2 weeks. the same night, my son tried to play a game on the computer, the same problem occurred again this time worse with one of the fan not turning at all. We took the computer back to them, the lady at the front desk asked us to turn on the computer and trying to play the same game, she automatically noticed that the right fan wasn’t turning on, she claimed that she was sorry that happened and they are going to fix it right away. I told her that I am driving out of town the next morning I need the computer back in the evening since it was very early morning that day. She said no problem; you will get it back. We did not hear anything from them that evening. We were supposed to drive very early in the morning we had to wait until they open at 11 am the next morning. Not even they didn’t call us in the evening to give any update they didn’t bother returning my call. I went there after 11 am the next morning, the guy told me; « ma’am unfortunately I couldn’t fix the problem, unfortunately the problem is not the fans, it is the computer board » He added that I will need $500 dollars to fix it this time. I said to him, you charged me $250 for a problem that you claimed that you fixed but instead got worse and now you are telling me that there’s another problem that needs to be fixed for double the price!! Read moreThis very well might be my first business review on Google, and for good reason. I brought in a corrupted flash drive for file recovery (which I'm sure is on the easier end of the labor and complexity spectrums for these folks.) I wasn't expecting anything too incredibly quick or cheap after being quoted $200 and a weeks time by a Geek Squad outfit in Charleston, NC (these tech places are REALLY hard to come by apparently.) I dropped off the drive around 11:15 am on a Wednesday and was expecting to hear back on it sometime Friday, or by Sunday at the latest. So, of course, something comes up that I need to be out of town by the end of the week for shortly after dropping off the drive. I call the shop around 1:30 pm the next day and talk to Toby about my dilemma and he tells me that file recovery just finished up and I can come check it out and see if it looks like everything is back. I show up a bit later, everything checks out, we have a nice conversation while my files burn onto a CD, I pay $75 and walk out with my drive intact and a CD backup just over 24 hours after dropping it off. Beats the hell out of Geek Squad's offer, that's for sure. While I can't quite speak for the more intricate, labor intensive work one might need done, I can say that my experience here pleasantly exceeded my expectations in price, speed, and customer service. This is what walking into a business should feel like! Big thanks to Toby specifically, seeing as he was the only one there when I showed up Thursday (but I can assume you're all equally as nice and technologically capable,) and the business as a whole. Read moreAbsolutely incredible, incredible service. After BestBuy's Geek Squad did a number on my computer, the Geeks at Tweeks were unstoppable. They called to let me know exactly what had gone wrong with my computer, how it had gone wrong, and what could be done to fix it. One day after this phone call, the computer was ready. I brought it home and the machine, once sluggish and on the brink of death, came back to me an absolute powerhouse. All issues, and more, fixed. They backed up my computer instore as opposed to Best Buy which makes you buy an external you'll never use again so when I got my computer back from Tweeks, it was exactly as I had left it except with none of the problems. They were attentive, incredibly knowledgable, and very gifted with a computer. The price of the entire checkup was also an absolute steal. I kinda felt bad that such incredible service came so cheap. With a four year old motherboard, now I'm saving up to take my computer back to get an upgrade. From now on, I know who to call!
