Female Guest Beware||I am surprised that this is part of the Wyndham family. We've stayed in many La Quinta's. But we've never seen lodging this bad. This had been reserved for many months. Upon arrival, we were told to check the room out. We found that strange, because we had never been told that before. The first room was ok, but the tv had a line down the middle of it. We were told to go to another room for inspection. By this time we should have just left. We inspected the second room, the same line down the tv. We went ahead and said yes to this room, out of pure exhaustion, because of our long road trip we weren't up to finding other accommodations. We regretted that decision. There are some things that can not be inspected. The room was filthy!!!. We didn't open the blinds or turn on enough lights to see the filth. Because the female clerk came into the room and distracted us, while we were trying to inspect it. They should be ashamed to rent rooms that nasty. We purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned the room ourselves. Not one mirror in the room was clean. Food stains on the desk. Disgussting. Both of the microwaves ran, but the one on the bottom, did not heat the food. The one on top, took a long time to heat the food. The carpet was wet from the wall, where the tv was, pass the edge of the bed. We told the male owner/manager, he replied that a leak upstairs had caused the water to come down the wall to our room. You can imagine how bad the room stunk. The owner didn't seem to be bothered by it. If you love the smell of curry and India food, you will love this place. The halls and our room reeked of the hideous odor. Our clothing stunk from it, and the stinky wet carpet, which never dried on our visit. The chair was badly stained. The lock on the door was missing two screws. It would have been easy to break into that room. The bottom of the bathroom door was rotted. One of the bedside lamps did not work. The tray in the coffee maker would not stay in place, even after the manager brought a replacement, for that reason, we were unable to make coffee. I don't think the filter in the a/c had been cleaned in years. Even air freshener did not help the stench of the room. We were woke up promptly at 8:00 am, whether we wanted to or not. The motel is going through renovations and the workers outside our window was loud. This motel looks nothing like the photo's. The worse part of our...
Read moreI agreed with others' reviews. I don't think this hotel met Hilton Honor basic standard. If you don't mind and have low expectations. Then this is your hotel.
The bathtub drain is not working. Called the front desk and tried to fix it. Unfortunately, it is still clogged after several times of use. Of course, he complained it is not his job to fix it, but service dept. As usual, no one followed up the next day as they promised to send someone to fix it the next morning. You mean it is the guest job to test all your amenities for you. Isn't it should be working all the time? Next, the room really lacks storage for your clothes/stuff. Where are you going to put your stuff? On top of the TV, table, or nightstand? Next, about the housekeeping. Why was only half the bed taken care of, but the other bed was left untouched (queen bed). Did the housekeeper leave my room unexpectedly for some other emergency task? Well, the breakfast area was clean at least. Why? Cos there is nothing much there to offer for breakfast. Where is my bacon, omelets, waffle, or any hots breakfast? We end up going somewhere for breakfast instead. Next, why does the front desk argue with someone over the front desk on the phone and then share it with another guest in front of him? Does this help him with his therapy? Next, the gym only have 3 equipment? If you are an active person who love exercise. You can forget it. Next? Not even a basic microwave? And a flying roach in my room.
The only good thing is the location. Otherwise, it's not recommended.
Btw. I checked the other recent reviews. Looks like nothing has changed or fixed with the same concern other guests brought up in...
Read moreIt looks like a very old hotel that they slapped bright colors on and some new carpet. Rooms are very tight and dark. The sink is as you immediately walk in the room. Woke up in the morning to get ready for an interview. Turned the faucet on and my feet got soaked. The drain pipe wasn’t connected and water just poured out all over the floor. Got my clothes all wet my things wet. Then tried to shower to wash the soap off my face and the water didn’t work on the shower. I had to go downstairs with a half wet soapy face to get help. They switched my room, but what a pain in the butt as I’m trying to get ready for an interview and my clothes are wet and I had to switch rooms at 6 AM. Not what I had planned! Also, the electrical outlet didn’t work. The new room they moved us into the showerhead long black hairs that were definitely not mine. But I didn’t have time to deal with that either. There’s a reason it’s called spark. It’s because it is a spark of what a Hilton should actually look like.If you want to stay in an old La Quinta with some bright blue paint, this is the place for you. Breakfast also sucked. All they had were bagels and I am gluten-free and there was nothing...
