Where do I start? First time landlord here. To start, my initial property manager was Cheman.. her communication was horrible, not answering me for days. I left my home partially furnished. I hired them to handle all legal documents being that I donāt know how to do so myself. The property manager did not include my televisions on the contract or my couch or my office furniture. The tenants I had stole many items from my home. The property management team is now saying they canāt be responsible because it wasnāt listed on the contract. During the 6 month inspection, they took images and sent me of my tenants having 7-9 beds in my home, meanwhile their lease had 3 people listed on it. Not only were there a lot of beds, they went and created extra rooms, with dividers to make these extra sleeping areas. This was not a red flag to the property manager somehow at the time of inspection. There was a hot water issue that I never had in my home prior to these tenants living there, it began 1-2 months after theyād been living there. I addressed all concerns my tenants had regarding the water loss in 2 areas EVEN though the plumbers had expressed that the thermostats and breakers were tampered with. I sent out plumbers, and an electrician upon request and suggestion. Each time I sent professionals the water issue was fixed. My tenants left early because they wanted me to replace a water tank which was not necessary or going to happen being that it is brand new and a new home. They all completely disregarded the fact that they were tampering with my water tank. I moved back into my home with a 2 weeks notice that they were moving out. Replaced the water tank just to continue to have water issues from that tank in 2 bathrooms only⦠only to find out my original tank was fine. The issue was from the tenants consistently pulling my breaker out and not pressing it back in place⦠which they shouldāve never touched in the first place⦠The property management team is now refusing to abide my the lease they drafted. They are not being charged the early termination fee, they are receiving some security deposit back and nothing is being said about my stolen property. Also, they are not paying the remaining months rent like the lease states. The broker is so unprofessional. I couldnāt reach her in the midst of trying to obtain answers and information. The only person that communicates effectively is Kimberly. If I could give them a 0 star rating I would. I wish this on no one. Please before you pick a rental company, whether youāre landlord or tenant, please read reviews. I failed to do so, just went by word of mouth and got finessed out of some money and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give no stars at all, I would have , the T&J Properties side of this business is absolutely HORRENDOUS, The two agents (Cheman Wrightsell Johnson /Kimberly Bousquet) thatās responsible for that side of the office are unprofessional, no empathy or sympathy for the things that has to be dealt with in one of their rental properties, from the time I started renting in July 2023, Iāve tried to bare with them and be an understanding person, but the unprofessionalism never stopped from the 2 office agents to the maintenance guy, maintenance crew is absolutely HORRIBLE. I havenāt had hot water all weekend from a new water heater installment the old water heater leaked water for who knows how long and now has mold and water under the tile and on the wall and in the bricks of the back of the home, nothing was replaced but water heater, after installing, they didnāt stay to make sure it was working properly and the water never got hot again. I have put in three emergency request and sent several emails from the time they left my home Friday up until yesterday no one has replied, or contacted me for any of my emergency request. my family has been using cold water all weekend, rent is entirely too high to deal with something like this in your own home, and I pay rent on time every month since Iāve been here. it is now October 2023 and I will no longer be renting from them because of all of the maintenance requests (15) from electrical to plumbing to small foreseen things that should have been done prior to moving in, from the time of my move-in date till now, literally till this very day thereās still major issues . I would not recommend T&J Properties to anyone and Iām not perfect, but I'm for sure the ideal renter and this experience has been unbelievably terrible. I have pictures and videos of all of the things Iāve been dealing with in this place for the three months Iāve been here, hopefully itāll do me some justice in court because they have the nerve to tell me they are going to start eviction process for rent payment this month that yes I have not paid yet in the mist of dealing what Iām dealing with.
I mean the audacity, how do you say say to a person I know you and your family has been using cold water and youāre breathing in mold and you have water under your floor but you still need to pay us rent and if you want to break the lease early, you need to pay us to do so as well even with all of the things that Iāve been dealing with and still dealing with right now this morning with no hot water.
They are really unbelievable, do not rent from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust no. Unprofessional from the start. This agency was the listing agent on a property that I recently purchased, maybe that's how they'll justify my experience. Day one; I knock on the door (during normal business hours as instructed by the listing agent) and whoever was inside did not feel like being bothered and did not open the door. I called and was rudely told to just use the dropbox. Closing day; I've signed all documents and I'm just waiting to be handed my keys. No keys! The listing agent left them at the property. Who leaves the keys to a newly purchased property, at the property, on the front steps, out in the open, the day of the closing?! I'm almost positive you wouldn't have left the keys to one of your direct clients' properties, at the property, the day of closing! Other smaller annoyances occurred during this whole process but, I'll stop with these two. I assume this company works better with their direct clients but, at the end of the day, you were compensated for a service that you meagerly provided. Be mindful in all interactions,...
