Getting a ring from a vendor that only uses lab-grown diamonds was a priority for my now-fiancé and me, so it was exciting when we discovered there was a Clean Origin store not too far from where we live. The staff here are incredibly helpful and patient. We made an appointment so we wouldn't have to wait to be helped on a Saturday afternoon. I was also able to ask whether rings I was interested in were in stock, and they were able to have a demo of my top choice shipped to the store so I could see it in person. When we arrived, Natalia had a setup of mix-and-match rings (different cuts and sizes of stones that had magnets on the backs of them so they could be tried out with different bands) as well as the demo ring that they'd had shipped in. Natalia did not rush us at all as I tried on different rings and looked at center stones and never pressured us to make a decision or make a purchase day-of. The Clean Origin website has a much wider variety of rings than what they carry in-store, but they do have a lot of what I assume are their most popular options in store. If you have a specific ring in mind from the Clean Origin website, I'd recommend calling ahead to make sure they have it or see if they can get it for you. We had a great experience with this store...
Read moreDO NOT buy anything from these guys! I purchased a ring from them I planned on proposing to my (now) fiancé with. After the purchase they stated they were sending the diamond and the ring off to their jeweler in New York to get it set and they’d have it to me by a certain date. I kept getting weird emails from them after the purchase, called and spoke to the manager at the retail location where I saw the ring I purchased. He assured me it was a glitch in their system and all was okay. This goes on for a while and I kept getting more suspicious so after several calls back and forth over a couple weeks they finally admitted to me they “lost the ring in the mail” and it was simply nowhere to be found.
At this point I was out my money with no ring and only a couple weeks from engagement. Thank god another company hooked me up. Clean origin eventually refunded me.
Did some research and it looks like the company has been sold and the new owners are not making do on their liabilities.
TLDR, do not waste your time and money at Clean Origin. I was lied to about a ring purchase and...
Read morePROCEED WITH CAUTION! We were in the store and ordered a wedding band, they sent it out to be sized, we never took anything home with us. Well, they never let us know the order was back in and ready for pick up, I had to call them to inquire where our purchase was. By the time we had picked it up the 30 day window to return it had lapsed (because it's 30 days from PURCHASE not 30 days from when you actually get it. They refused to allow us to return it even though it was their process (and failure to inform us that the order was ready for pick up) that had stalled out enough time that made it impossible to meet their 30 day return window. And GET THIS, they "tracked" my purchase with a spiral note book and hand written notes!! I kid you not!! To lookup my order, they pulled out a college ruled spiral paper notebook, into which the tags of purchased items had been taped to the page with hand written notes of who bought it and who sold it. THIS IS THEIR METHOD?!?! Is it 1981?? No wonder their system fails the consumer. Very...
