If you’re in or anywhere near the Scottsdale Quarter and need a caffeine fix, Press Coffee is where you want to be. I stopped in and ordered the Peanut Butter Shaker, and let me tell you, it was delicious! Packed with protein and peanut buttery coffee goodness, it felt like I was drinking a workout… without actually having to work out. A win-win.
I also got a Cortado, because balance is important—protein shake in one hand, bold espresso in the other. It was smooth, strong, and perfectly crafted. If you’re a Cortado fan, you’ll appreciate the precision.
Beyond the drinks, Press Coffee has a great vibe—modern, clean, and full of people who look like they have important things to do but are happy to sit and enjoy a good cup of coffee first. They’ve got a solid selection of fresh roasted beans if you want to take the magic home, plus all the standard coffee shop offerings. I picked up a bag of their freshly roasted Sumatra.
Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I order the Peanut Butter Shaker again? Without question. Would I attempt to describe the Cortado like I’m a professional coffee critic? Clearly, yes. Am I a professional coffee critic?...
Read moreI went to get coffee last Saturday and the 3 employees refused service to me due to my inability to wear a mask. I told her that I have a medical condition and cannot wear a face covering. I also offered to stay 6 ft back from her per the city regulations. The City of Scottsdale, Maricopa county and the state allow medical exemptions...period. Also just a few feet away from me was a whole room full of people not wearing masks. There was also no plexiglass to protect the workers. Tables are not 6 feet apart and are actually crammed together in a very small area. This business is not following the law as the executive order clearly states there are exemptions. They are also clearly violating other social distancing mandates. And if you do have a private business policy to discriminate against people with medical disabilities and violate the executive order then you should post it on the door "No mask, no exemptions" for all to see. That would have saved me a trip inside to deal with the very rude and...
Read moreI've always loved Press and take anyone & everyone that visits AZ to one immediately... but after the poor customer service I received today I came on here to see if others had a similar experience and was SHOCKED to see multiple reviews that almost mirrored my experience.
I've never experienced poor customer service at a Press, so it was just very weird. One of the baristas was very fast to shut down a request I had for my coffee, no explanation of why (even though I've ordered it before), just a short and cold "you can't do that". I could almost understand answering like that if it was busy, but I was the only person in line. Not a big deal honestly, but it was just REALLY weird.
This is also a new location, and it's a bummer they didn't think to build in electrical outlets underneath each table - although this may be intentional to keep tables turning.
5 stars because I still love them. Just hope they get the customer service...
