On August 19th my kids and I (ages 15 & 22) had tickets and paid for parking as well as having VIP passes for TWIZTID. The VIP experience was a bit anticlimactic bc it seemed a bit rushed and we were waiting outside in line for HOURS even though it was supposed to start at 3pm.

The reasons I am giving 2 stars: it was my 15yo son's first concert ever and between having to wait outside breathing in exhaust fumes from a box truck that was idling there, also for hours, which made me feel extremely lightheaded and dizzy, and not being able to find a restroom for my son or find staff to ask about timing, he was miserable and it set a really frustrating tone for the evening right from the start. we were close to the stage for the experience and my son was overheating when the second to last artist was coming on and we found out that if the person is as minor, even with a VIP badge, they CANNOT go outside to get air because the only way exit to get air is in the bar. So we had to waste $300 worth of tickets because the door guy was an asshole and my son was about to have a medical emergency bc the venue is way too hot. so we did not get to see the band we were there for, we did not get to finish the experience of my son's first concert, and we did not get to go out for air and come back in because the venue has no solutions for accommodating the breathing needs of teenagers.

I don't think we'll be wasting money on this place again until everyone is 21 since it's a health hazard and the door guy had ZERO interest in whether a kid blacks out or not. I am pretty pissed about wasting $300+ when this was supposed to be our ONE fun event this summer. The first time I went to see TWIZTID there last year was a lot of fun and there were a number of minor kids at the show hanging outside with folks and then going back in. I didn't read anything about the specific restrictions when I bought the tickets and because of the previous year I assumed it would be fine to bring my son only to learn that they use the liquor license excuse to steal ticket money and do not have a solution for people to cool down as minors if they get overheated.

And look, some of y'all might have $300 to throw in the garbage, but we really did not and barely were able to pull this off only to get robbed, and I highly doubt that I have any recourse as far as being reimbursed for the headliner bands or having any hope for the business to make this up to us, so I will just let others know and I won't spend money here again if it's just a setup for me to lose money and lose the experience I purchased and not be able to get my money back.

When I tried to explain to the door guy that my son was overheating he said we can't go out the door and the only way to go out and get back in is by going out through the bar and then back in at the front but the VIP badge was NOT valid for re entry, only at the bar can you get a reentry as stamp, and if you're a minor you can't go into the bar and therefore can't leave or come back which is absolute bullshit.

Way too much bullshit and drama and frustration to be worth it, especially when your VIP experience is literally just them signing things for 3 minutes and a picture after you stood outside in the heat for 2-3 hours having to pee and breathing in toxic fumes. Kinda ruined the whole thing so it might have to be a few years or a different venue for me to get to see TWIZTID again. Because also I am not leaving my 15yo outside alone in downtown...

what a nightmare went to see exodus at elcorazone I've never been to the venue but if you puvnch it in to Google maps it gives you what looks like clear directions to the place but once you get close Google maps starts redirecting you around and around now I no this isn't the venues fault and I never made it to the show because of Google maps who I blame for this wasate of time and money we stopped asked about a dozen people how to get there not one of them had a clue as to what we were asking because either they did not know where it was or they didn't speak English now I have to believe that this is not the only time this has happened to someone who does not live in Seattle right out of highschool I worked in the area and the Honda dealership on olive way and boren but that was 1985 and the are has completiy changed I did not recognize anythinmg and it seemed like the more we went around in circles the more Google maps redirected us at one point it said we were on a street that was 2 blocks overso I guess I have to put a little blame on el corazone because like I said this cant be as isolated incident and maybe they could put omn the tickets to not use Google maps toi navigate to there venue but anyway I never got to see my favorite thrash metal band and at my age it wasd probly stupid to be in a mosh pit with one of the hardest bands to ever grace the stage who I've loved and listened to for over 40 years now and I'm sure they lived up to there reputation by the way exodus your still my favorite and always will be but sadly my health is fading and this was probably the last opportunity for me to see them so I'm still gonna bang my head at home in the safety of my own home where a ambulance ride is just a 911 call away lol ps don't use Google maps to navigate to El corazone in...

If you understand what this place is meant to be and still want to go, you'll enjoy it. There's an easy mobile pay parking lot just behind the building as you get off the freeway. Just scan the QR code and it was like $8 or so. Get patted down lightly at the door. Show your tickets. Have your ID ready for bar access. You'll make some new best friends in the bathrooms. Stall doors are mid chest height so you can lock eyes with people as you do your thing.

Now, on to the show... the stage is small and intimate, an open floor area in front is dotted with a few posts. There's a slightly elevated section behind the main floor area with maybe 2 or 3 benches/seats. Not much. The elevation provides a wall that's convenient for leaning against. Floors are a bit uneven and the small steps to the elevated area could provide a challenge if you've had too many. If you're facing the stage, bar to the left, bathrooms and entrance to the right.

It seems the equipment the bands bring dictates the sound quality to a huge extent so just hope they're well equipped. I would recommend ear plugs either way. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone hoping to hear crisp and clean sounding songs from their favorite bands. It's muffled, washed out noise at times, but the bass will make your chest pound so if you mainly want to feel it then you'll love it.

Overall, just bring the right level of expectation and enjoy it for what it is. Staff were nice and did their job getting on people for trying to smoke inside. A few people got too rowdy, but it was pretty obvious they had pre-gamed a little too hard. Just keep an eye out for those people and...

I've seen quite a few shows here, just saw Front Line Assembly and Clock DVA. It was Wax Trax era jams from FLA, so I was stoked! It was great to see all my fellow GenXers donning their old battlejackets and enjoying themselves. I think I saw FLA there back in 2018 or 2019, too. Not sure about venue/year, I'm getting old 🤷‍♀️ It's a grungy and cozy venue, you can always find a spot to see the stage, even if you're short. There's floor space in front of the stage, and a lifted platform with seating up some stairs that spans the back, facing the stage. You can walk across this platform to get to the main bar and avoid the potential mosh pit area. They'll even block off a section at the front side of the stage for anyone needing an accommodation for a wheelchair or other mobility issues. The ladies restroom is a basic grungy bar bathroom, they've always had toilet paper and soap when I've been so no complaints from me. The stall doors are a bit short, but nothing too scandalous. It's the kind of place you easily want to make sure no one is passed out and/or expiring in a stall. It's that kind of place, sorry, not sorry. The bar has a decent selection, and the bartenders are friendly. Door staff can be a bit stiff, but they're the first line of defense against 🐂💩 so that makes sense. I've never had a problem getting street parking in the area, and there's plenty of places around to grab a bite before a show. I've never felt unsafe in the area and I've seen multiple shows there alone. I'm a 5'6 130 lb (elder)goth woman with intense RBF, so use that info as you see fit.

I missed this place after 10 years we were back on stage and loved it. Such a classic venue.

I've been here a few times over the years and never had an experience like this. The show was great, It was Amber Pacific and Hawthorne Heights, this past Sunday, October 13th. My friend and I were talking to the band after and I realized I had set my bag down by the merch booth, when we had taken a photo. I had already walked out and the guy said no re-entry which was fine. I waited on the sidewalk while he grabbed my bag and when he came out with it, he threw it at me as hard as he could for absolutely no reason. And then he hit me. It was completely unprovoked (I hadn't had any interaction with him throughout the night prior) and I walked away in shock. My friend saw it happen and immediately called the police. When he went to ask the guy his name, another guy (who we have identified), actively prevented him from walking by with a box he was carrying. Some of the things in my bag broke and he left a massive bruise on my side and a cut above my eye from where my phone charger whipped me (the bag wasn't completely zipped because it had been attached to my battery pack and the cord was slightly hanging out). I'm still waiting to hear back from management with his name so I can file charges but I'm not holding my breath. I doubt this is an isolated incident. So if you want to be assaulted for no reason by a bouncer on a power trip, this is the place for you.
