The drinks are alright but It’s a GIANT scam how they list their tips while signing for your bill. They list tip percentages from left to right as 50%, 30% and 25%. First of all, 50% is crazy. Especially with how expensive drinks are and the minimal amount of service being given to any given customer- second of all, it is extremely scummy/scammy/exploitative to list them in that order AND for there not to be the typical default percentages. Every other place that lists recommended tips lists them in increasing order left to right, not right to left, and usually tip percentage is 18,20,25 or somewhere around those numbers. Due to the majority of the clientele being under the influence while they check out, this practice js shady as hell because you are scamming people who don't even realize how much extra they are tipping at the time. I've discussed this with at least a dozen others who agree it is a disgusting business practice, some admitting that the explicit greed it implies actually makes them skip tipping when they otherwise would, and I hope you reconsider and change the tipping screen, as i think the drinks...
Read moreMy friends and I visited a few hours ago (1:25 AM on 1/7/25), and the bartender, Cece (light skin, curly hair), was extremely rude. We ordered a double Malibu Orange, Tequila Soda, and Vodka Cranberry, and she snapped, “I’m not doing a double, I’ll do a single,” without any explanation. I ordered a Tito’s Sprite, and she gave me a tiny pour, 2 1/2 seconds—definitely not 2 oz. She did the same with my friends’ drinks.
20 minutes later, my friend asked for limes, lemons, and napkins, and she just said, “No.” When he asked if he had done something to upset her, she responded, “No, you’re projecting,” then went to security and mumbled something, clearly about us because they turned around to look at our group. Our drinks tasted like just soda water and Sprite. What a strange way to treat guests. She could’ve simply communicated that it was last call or that they were closing early, instead...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for about 5 years now and a regular for a few months since moving to Cap Hill. This is the only bar that checks every box for me.
• Great music always (each bartender has vastly different taste but it’s all up my alley. The occasional DJ set too!)
• Other regulars are friendly and don’t give off the “too cool to talk to you” vibe that a lot of other bars I’ve been to do
• I feel 100% safe here as a woman. Every time I’ve ever been made uncomfortable by a strange man, whoever is bartending and/or doing door immediately jumps to remove whoever is causing the issue. Other women I’ve met who have had similar experiences share the same sentiment.
• Despite the aesthetic choice of being covered in graffiti (which I enjoy), this bar is VERY clean
If you’re visiting Seattle or just looking for a new bar to check out, I can’t recommend this...
