Jackson Street Apartments — Local services in Seattle

The staff here are very disrespectful. Not only are they unprofessional, but they are just plain rude. I have gotten yelled at like a dog by the security guard. I understand if we are doing something wrong, like leaning on the pool table. But have some class and have some decency to talk to me like a regular person. Every time I enter this apartment, we are harassed by the same person. The last few times instead of making petty lil comments, he shouted at us. “GET OFF THAT TABLE.” The disrespect I have faced at this apartment is actually insane. Even the front desk staff make unnecessary and disrespectful comments. We are younng teenage girls who hang out here sometimes, but this apartment is not a safe space for us. I am severely disappointed in how the staff at this apartment chooses to handle things and how unprofessional and disrespectful they are. My mother, an adult, got questioned disrespectfully by the security guard because she was with us. He took a complete 180 when he realized she was an adult. We've been living here since Dec 2020 when the building wasn't even at 80% occupancy and it's the nicest apartment I've ever rented. The solid material countertops, nice fixtures and good appliances are nice to have. The rooftop deck is great. The location is so convenient to downtown and to all kinds of growth and change in the CD-- close to several grocery stores, lots of restaurants and cafés and now a Mud Bay walking distance. But more than any of those things, Jackson St Apts has wonderful management and good, prompt maintenance. The common areas look (and smell) amazing. I've never lost a package which is really saying something anywhere. Someone attempted to break into the secured bike storage but the lock was so good they failed to get in AND building management got the lock replaced promptly. Ritchie showed us our unit and he was everything other posters have said and MORE. He and Heather both have been our apartment angels 😇. Austin is also a great member of the team. I've been so happy with our place....

This was ok with the old prices, but with current rates it's no longer a good price-to-service ratio.

The intercom will not be fixed. Don't bother getting a Seattle number, it won't make it work.

Most of the staff is very nice, but the ones that are useful are not there anymore. They should bring Quin back.

Check your water bill and your water meter. They most likely don't match. Mine didn't. A couple other residents said the same thing. I don't think you are paying for what you are using and they are pretty shady about it.

Security is a joke. The garage door is broken half of the time and when that happens they ask you to pull on a big chain to bring the door up or down, which takes a couple of minutes each way.

This is a pet-friendly place but the elevator has carpet that's never washed, despite some pets having accidents regularly.

On the plus side, the other tenants are super nice and the view from the rooftop...
