I often walk by this area since I live nearby. I've noticed the sushi sign on the front of the building multiple times, and it seemed a bit questionable. However, today, my friend and I decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, it turned out to be quite cool with a nice vibe. The restaurant entrance is located on the south side, all the way at the back of the building, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. They also serve bubble tea. The sushi was fresh and delicious, and the miso soup was flavorful. It appears they use real wasabi, which is a plus. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the atmosphere was great. While the service was friendly, there's room for improvement. It's a fantastic place to enjoy sushi and hang out. Overall, 4.3 stars. Easy 5 if service adjusts a little.

A hidden gem in the CD. This is right across from Reckless Noodle and Woodshop BBQ. I've visited a couple of times now and have been impressed with the food quality coming out from such a small kitchen. I've sampled a few rolls including the Spider roll, California, spicy Hamachi.. Nigiri hamachi, salmon, tuna (not fatty), ebi.. Appetizers including edamame, fried tempura, and the samosas which are a bit of a curve ball but they work. The chef/owner is great and I appreciate the atmosphere. The location is a little weird and the front of the building may be less than inviting. Don't let that stop you. The back patio, and covered patio are great. If you want to sit in the kitchen on stools that's an option too!

This sushi place is AMAZING! The salmon sashimi was buttery and each roll was fresh. The miso soup was flavorful without being salty and the tea hit the spot. The owners were very kind and I'm happy to support a small business. They came up from doing a catering on the side in the back of SAVE-U-MORE to a gorgeous restaurant. Going there during their soft opening was great and I'm looking forward to their grand opening on June 24th.

I was genuinely excited to try this neighborhood restaurant—NextDoor folks were raving, and I figured I was in for a treat. I first tried calling in my order around lunchtime, but no one answered and the voicemail was full. Not a great sign, but I was determined, so I emailed my order earlier in the day, aiming for chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, and salmon teriyaki. On second thought, I canceled since they don't listen to their voice mail so email seemed hopeless.

Fast forward to 6 PM: I arrive, hopeful and hungry, only to be told the teriyaki meals were not available. They also explained there’d be a 30-minute wait because they had to finish take-out orders first. So much for showing up in person.

The cashier was new, and very sweet—but also very new. She couldn’t answer even the simplest questions and kept deferring to the other two staff members, who were busy and not interested in intervening

So, I pivoted and ordered two orders of shrimp tempura (3 shrimp for $12 each), a hamachi bento box ($18), and a fresh roll (around $10). The shrimp tasted exactly like the frozen kind from Costco—which is fine if I’m at home in my pajamas, but for $24? We got six lonely shrimp on a plate. No garnish, no flair. Just shrimp. They looked like they were wondering where the rest of the meal went, too.

The roll was mostly rice, and the fish didn’t taste fresh. Even the ginger was weirdly off. And the sauces? They didn’t taste Japanese at all—more like Vietnamese or Filipino dipping sauce.

The hamachi bento box did feature a decorative orchid blossom. Lovely to look at, sadly not edible. It ended up being the most memorable part of the meal.

We left still hungry and ended up scrounging for food at home. After all the buzz, this felt like a miss. I don’t think we’ll be going back—but hey, at...

We went in, a group of 6, and there was not a single other person in there besides us and the 3 workers. We didn’t know whether we sat ourselves or if someone needed to seat us so we sat on our own. A girl walks up to us and doesn’t say anything for what felt like eternity then we ask her if she was the one that takes our order and she just shakes her head. We haven’t gotten a menu or know that there was a QR code (someone at the table noticed) so we told her we needed time. She comes back and takes drink orders. My husband ordered a blue raspberry tea she comes back with a red drink that tasted like tamarindo. I asked if it was blue raspberry and she waves her eyes and says “yessss.” We ask again after and she says “I’m not sure I didn’t make it.” It was wrong, a blue drink was brought right after. Then we proceeded to wait 40 minutes for our food (that never arrived). Actually I got my egg rolls and veggie tempura after 15 minutes but no one else ever got their food. I go in to ask for a time frame and they said “10 more minutes.” We only got one roll that was fried, everything else was regular. We ended up leaving. My egg rolls and veggie tempera was good, but not good enough to wait for other food. I’m not sure how the sushi is but if you don’t want to wait, I wouldn’t...

We ordered takeout and were so excited cause we just moved to the area and are looking for our new sushi takeout spot. We ordered at 6 PM with a 30 min estimate. My boyfriend walked over and was told “a few more minutes”. 20 min later nothing. Then he asked and was quoted another “20 mins”. So he came home and went back 20 mins later and it STILL wasn’t ready. I understand being backed up but going on 2 hour wait for a neighborhood sushi restaurant is crazy. They clearly needed to turn off their takeout ordering system because multiple other people were waiting for a long time and very frustrated. The staff was apologetic but it was clear they couldn’t do anything. Sad because it feels like they had to rush everyone’s food and sushi is a dish that feels like it shouldn’t be rushed. Super sad because it was a little splurge too! $19 for one roll is something we would normally pay but after the wait feels expensive. I understand being a small business I just wish the estimate was more reasonable and that there was more sympathy from the staff or...
