1.0 star rating 8/18/2016 5 photos I went in yesterday to get a regular mani/pedi here because I had my engagement photo shoot today and it was important to me to have my nails professionally done for it. Before I left the salon, I noticed my fingernails were not painted to the edges and when I tried to communicate it to the mother of the family-run salon who did my nails, she blamed the customer (me) for picking a polish that had very little left saying "that's because you picked that nail polish [that had little left]". It is not the customer's fault that the salon doesn't have enough of that polish left. It is the salon's fault. They told me to pick another color, but the other pink hues were not even close. They did not have a lot of colors to even pick from so I stuck with what was left in the bottle not aware that chipped nails could be a possible outcome. And if they knew that there was little left, I don't know why they had to use it all on my toes first and do my hands last. And now, less than 24 hours later, it has gotten quite chipped before my engagement photo shoot!! 4 fingers badly chipped before the engagement photo shoot and 2 more fingers chipped right after the engagement photo shoot. I spent $39 total for chipped nails within less than 24 hours of the appointment. I was reluctant to even give a tip because the nails edges weren't painted, but because it didn't feel right to give no tip even though I was dissatisfied, I still gave at least a 12% tip. If I had to get another regular mani/pedi, I would NOT come back here ever. Even the customer service was horrendous in addition to the shoddy quality of the mani/pedi. I also called them back to let them know about the chipped nails. The mother of the place picked up and after hearing what happened, her reaction was unbelievably hostile saying in a scolding tone "so what? so what do you want me to do??? I will not give you a refund because we already did your manipedi" It's unbelievable why she had to be so hostile rather than just own up to the shoddy quality of a nail job that was not worth $39. I didn't pay using a Groupon, which they have. I paid FULL PRICE because I wanted to ensure they felt paid enough to do a good nail job! I was so disappointed and upset that it chipped before my engagement photo shoot. A 1 star review all around would not be unjustified. I learned they also don't do any sort of refunds as it is their "company policy". They told me they only have a warranty of 5 days if anything happens, you can come back, but it was too late and the photo shoot was already done, so there's no need to have my nails professionally...
Read moreI am pretty upset with me salon already. I booked a Groupon for my first full set of lash extensions. Not that it matters, but I was in the middle of getting a full makeover. After recovering from a pretty gnarly break up that involves some domestic violence things. Anyways, I booked this appointment a week ago and called to confirm the appointment before they even called to confirm with me. I arrived at my appointment time at the location that was listed on the Groupon. However, because of Seattle and the traffic and the parking it took me to a different place. I called the owner of the salon and I said I’m so sorry my GPS took me to the wrong location. I can be there in six minutes. My apologies. She said to me that I’m going to have to reschedule for another day. Normally I would understand and I do get the policy of having to put all of your clients first. However, I feel like there should have been a little bit of understanding and empathy. And it’s not uncommon that there is an arrival window time. Super disappointing already, and I am stuck with this Groupon, so I’m going to have to use them again. I will update once I do use them probably in a few months. Thank God another salon in Lynnwood Mona Lisa salon was able to get me in last minute. I’ll be writing a review for them as well. There’s just no need to be rude. She could’ve handled the situation differently. And based off of previous reviews listed for this salon I’m not confident that she has the soft skills to be running a business. I couldn't relax during the pedi bc the massage chair was so uncomfortable and the massage balls didn't relax into the chair so they poked out the entire time. 3 weeks later my gel pedi is still on!!
Gel mani was enjoyable and relaxing..unfortunately this didn't last as long and peeled off at about 2 weeks.
Got my lashes done as well and the girl was so fast, under an hour for a full set. I think maybe she was a little too fast (?) because I noticed them falling out that first night. When I woke up the next morning I had about 7 lashes on my pillow. Never had them fall out that quick before! I called to question and see what they could do the next day, the offered to fix them within 10 days but I was on vacation for the entire time. It was great of them to offer!
Also, I asked for the most natural and low key style of lashes (I don't wear make up) and she suggested a size 11. Size 11 turned out WAY too glam for me and I was a little upset. I thought about going back and getting them redone. Luckily my friends talked me into keeping them but just be aware of what size is what.
