Iâve been looking to try this place for a while, and finally got to it. Itâs not super easy to find - itâs inside a building, and you have to walk up a set of stairs to find it on the second floor. I was surprised how many people were inside considering the entire rest of the building was empty
After trying this, these are the best tacos Iâve had in Seattle I got 3 things - one Adobada taco, one âTacos Chukisâ taco, and one Adobada Mulita. All were made with the same type of marinated (adobada) pork
I have to start with said pork - because it was unbelievably good. The flavor was astonishing - the fat, the slight level of spice, the marination, and the juiciness combined to create something that was incredible. Each taco or mulita was overflowing with pieces of pork, and it was truly a joy to bite into every single time. You can tell just by the color on the outside how flavorful this is.
The pineapple was a fantastic touch on the tacos - not something that I often see. It provided a sweetness and that extra juiciness that I did not expect. The rest of the toppings were also all phenomenal. They did not go light on the guacamole, and it was really good, especially mixed with the slightly spicy salsa present. The cilantro added a freshness that was refreshing.
The tortillas were also really good on everything. The tacos came wrapped in two corn tortillas, and they were softer than the mulita, which appeared to be between two slightly grilled ones. I appreciate the detail in recognizing the different purposes of the tortillas in each dish and adjusting the cooking process in commensurate with it
While the adobada taco was good, my favorites were the latter two, especially the mulita, because of the added cheese. Itâs kind of unfair when one has cheese and one doesnât - but both the Tacos Chukis taco and Adobada mulita were mouth-wateringly delicious. I canât express how well the cheese was melted - enough that it would form slight clumps and resist being broken away slightly but once itâs in your mouth it just melts away and adds so much flavor.
For the price, this is an incredible deal. First of all, I appreciate the freedom to order individually, so you can choose exactly how much you want to eat depending on if youâre feeling hungry or not. For me - 3 was enough to feel good without feeling too full. Each item is priced quite reasonably as well.
Iâm very excited for my next time here to try the quesadillas & burritos - but I can say the tacos & mulitas were all-time good.
Overall, a wonderful experience that beats any high-end Mexican food in the...

I spoke with Tacos Chukis a week ago about getting taco platters for a small event. They only communicate over email and their response is very slow. Over the course of days I told them what I wanted...twice. They finally asked for the information to send me an invoice and when I sent them that info they asked for more info and gave a very short deadline. Being a working human, I don't constantly have my phone so I missed their manufactured deadline by an hour.
I trusted them to do what they said they would do and they reneged at the last minute. They decided they couldn't complete the order THE DAY I needed it. I called and was given the runaround. I was not able to get the name of anyone to speak with who had any authority. I was told they can't give out that information. I can see why; with such lousy business practices I'm sure people are not happy with them.
I will never trust them again. They have lost a lot of future business with me. I'm an event planner and concierge and this is NOT the kind of people I want to work with. They were unprofessional and basically lied to me about providing their service.
Zero stars...
Read moreThere's something about the food at Taco Chukis. Something good. So good it keeps me coming back regularly to dine on tortas, tacos and quesadillas.
You have your choice of meats - steak, marinated pork, chicken, and the veggies. With a signature taco with pineapple that gives the taco a perfect amount of sweet and tangy flavour that you'll find yourself ordering more just to satisfy the cravings.
While gorging myself with these delicious foods through the last year, I figured it out. These foods are exactly what it tastes like to have good ole' home cooking. It may not be your side of the cultural dish, however, if you want to experience what good home Mexican food is. This is the place to go. Unsurprisingly, the owner says exactly that about the restaurant when he opened it a few years ago. He just wanted to bring home so of the good home cooking he would experience when he went back home.
So go and enjoy some good meaty, flavourful Mexican food. Also, pro tip. This location is kinda hidden inside up the stairs and to the back. Don't worry if you can't see it...
