I contemplated leaving this review for a long time but I think it’s warranted as my experience was genuinely just bad. I booked a blonding appointment with Olena, I explained to her what I wanted (single color all over blonde) and showed her pictures, I had virgin dark hair and understood if she couldn’t get me fully blonde in one session but what she did was just nothing close to what I was going for. Even in my consultation at another salon after I went to get it fixed the stylist commented how bad and uneven it was and wanted to know what salon did this. It was a 5 hour $450+ session that resulted in these tiger stripe highlights that was not easy to correct. She was also very rough doing my hair, the airtouch technique did not feel good and was painful at times. I couldn’t help but cry during the appointment, though I tried my best to hide it. She told me that I wouldn’t look good with blonde hair because I have “dark features” and at the end of the appointment after I expressed my dissatisfaction she brought out a blonde extension and held it up to my face to try to show that I shouldn’t be blonde and I told her yes I like it, this is what I wanted (let a girl be blonde if she wants to be blonde and is paying for it sheesh). I got it fixed in 1 session elsewhere for less than I paid here and i’ve been blonde for over a year now since this incident and absolutely love it. You can see from the photos what Olena did vs my hair now. The owner who’s very sweet did email me after she saw what happened at the salon and offered to have Olena add more blonde pieces but again that’s not what I went there for and I did not want to have it done by Olena again. I feel like I was not provided the service I paid for and instead got something completely different and random that was a waste of time and money so I feel like at least a 50% refund would’ve been more than fair.

Since Megan has established her own salon, I have been exposed to luxury in a multifaceted way, I was unaware could be done. I always believe high end hair means paying hundreds of dollars at a designer name salon, with designer hair products to choose from from the front of the store, where I also schedule my next appointment, and pay the bill + tip. Which always left me feeling awkward, and in other peoples way. I look back at how my previous salon experiences have been at other salons, through the decades and I never once left feeling 💯 more glamorous like I do now. My hair is paid for when I arrive in the chair (including tip), product is brought to me at the end as I’m taking off the apron, to reveal the new me, my next appointment already scheduled. All I do is give my thanks and walk out feeling like I’m VIP. The best part is when Megan broke from the mainstream and built her own product wall with what she wanted. I had to call Megan 4 days after my appointment to tell her how confused but in love with my hair! It’s salon soft still, and it’s not breaking, my life mission to fighting frizz and having my natural waves look silky even after going blonde finally happened. I’m not buying anti frizz products or have several types of shampoos in my shower. My dry scalp I’ve been dealing with over the years has vanished. No product I’ve bought costing $60 or more has ever helped my hair feel and look this good! So grateful for an Artist like Megan! First photo is before using Megan’s current products and before current “More Blonde Please” service. The one on the right is after

Title: “Magical Transformation into a Mermaid!” Review: 💇‍♀️😍🧚‍♀️🧜‍♀️ Salon Ritual and Zakiya deserve all the hair-flipping praise! 🌟 I walked in with fire red hair, and Zakiya worked her enchanting skills to give me a mesmerizing mermaid makeover. 🧜‍♀️✨ Zakiya’s gentle touch and attention to detail are truly magical. She flawlessly redid my roots, leaving no trace of the evil root grow out. My hair has never looked so vibrant and alive! 🌺🔥 Not only did Zakiya create a masterpiece on my head, but she was also a joy to be around. Her soft-handed approach made the entire process feel like a relaxing underwater adventure. 🌊💆‍♀️ And the best part? My partner and I wish we could rate Salon Ritual and our stylist OLENA more than 5 stars! This is our second time seeing her for women’s haircuts and our best cuts have been with her. We’ve lived in several states and we’ve never met anyone who matches her artistry and expertise, when it comes to hair. She’s prompt when it comes to appointment times. We’ve never had to wait upon arriving and our appointments end without cutting into the next client’s appointment time.

In her chair, she does quick consultations prior to hair-washing. Today, I came in unsure of what I wanted to do with my hair. Olena communicates her vision very clearly and makes her thoughtful suggestions in such a way that I told her I trust her, to do what she felt would be best. She recommended wispy side bangs, too, and it came out so good! She’s so good with our thin, Asian hair and somehow her cuts give our flat hair extra volume.

As an introverted-extrovert, she’s the perfect stylist to see because I don’t have to talk and she’s quietly focused on her craft. I just zone out and it makes for a truly relaxing experience. After wet-cutting, she dried my hair and went back in to make revisions to the haircut (something other hairstylists don’t/won’t take the time to do).

We can’t rave enough about Olena! While she’s a woman of few words, she’s extremely thoughtful and kind. She pays extra attention to details and truly goes above and beyond to make her clients happy. My partner and I feel so good after our appointments with her.

The owner and her entire staff are always so welcoming and the vibes of the salon are immaculate. You’ll feel that they genuinely care and love to uplift their clients....
