If you're not aware of this market, you NEED to check it out! It's reliable and shows up every single Sunday, no matter the weather, so you don't have to worry about surprise shutdowns changing your plans to visit. There are a ton of vendors and food trucks. The vendors often have shady space inside their booths during hot days, some even set out water dishes for dogs. Yes, this is a dog friendly event and a great place to see all kinds of different dog breeds, for those of you who like to "people-watch". We've only ever been outside because we rarely leave our booth, but there are also vendors inside the building, near the food trucks, from what I understand. Hundreds of vendors, lots to look at, a LOT of handmade/local crafter/small businesses. There's often things like clothing, jewelry, handmade books, hats, foods/sauces, balloons, antiques, and much more just within the street...
Read moreWe did go on the 10th annual Food truck (rally?) And even though the food was good I would have thought there would be more, variety. Don't get me wrong the food we did have was good, it just wasn't, great. We had hit the Tacoma food truck event in the fall and had expected that level. Only when we got there, (early, good think parking was horrible) there were maybe 25+ food stands? So a little let down. As for the flee market again a lot smaller then I had thought, with most vendors tucked into the back of their booths, leering out at people. Some of the vendors were standoffish to say the best. But the one or two that talked to us where very engaging, colorful and enjoyable to talk with. Like most flee markets make sure you bring cash (It is king) because some vendors still do cash only...
Read moreWe went to Fremont on a sunday to brewery hop and explore the area, so wanted to stop by the market for some lunch and a mooch around the stalls. The stalls themselves I thought were fantastic, such a range of things and I got a really lovely handmade necklace from one of the vendors. Had I been local, I would've bought much more, but unfortunately I didn't have the space in my luggage for it! My only disappointment was the food trucks - we were expecting a good range of places to get lunch from and there was only 3 or 4 options, so we ended up going elsewhere locally. I imagine it's much better in the summer and more trucks would be there, but unlucky for us, we were there in the first week of January. Would love to see it again later...
