Let me start by saying that she said yes and we’ve been engaged for 8 months now! Being in Seattle, I shopped around here, Vancouver, and Portland. I gave everyone the same design specifics for the diamond cut, clarity, color, and carat. I also told everyone I was open to the band design, but generally wanted the diamond mounted high to show its brilliance flanked by some kind of baguette/trios, and then wanted inlaid diamonds half way down the band. I wanted a circular diamond with a clarity of VS2 or better, a color of J or better, and at least 1 carat. In the end, Olympic Jewelry was local and significantly more affordable than the others, even with Seattle’s 10% sales tax. We started with 4 different diamonds, some were mounted on bands and others were free standing. They gave me a 10x microscope and a ton of time to let me examine each diamond in detail. I was drawn to a diamond that I later found out was a round brilliant cut, color of F, clarity of VS2, and 1.29 carats. From there, they showed me their green garnet trios. I had never heard of green garnet and assumed it was emerald. They showed me a ring with their green garnet next to a ring that had emeralds and the green garnet shined much more to complement that brilliant cut and colorless diamond. They recommended a platinum band to bring the entire ring together, which was sound and expert advice. At the end of the design session, I had a good idea of what to expect, gave them my down-payment, and then waited 2 months to see the end result. It was worth the wait! They did a masterful job crafting this custom ring. They stand by their work with lifetime cleanings. For example, we had to bring the ring back for re-sizing, which they did for no extra charge. The moment Olympic Jewelry made me a lifetime customer is when we realized the band was missing one if its inlaid diamonds. They made it so easy to come back and they replaced the diamond at no cost. As you can read in the other reviews, they make you family. They do amazing work, at a good price, and they stand by their work. I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you so much for making the ring of our dreams! We get compliments everywhere we go and we look forward to working with you for decades to come.

I have been a recurring customer of Olympic Jewelers for the past 10 years. I could not be more thrilled with the service and knowledge Olympic brings to the table! Anytime I am looking to buy, Michael is the first person I contact with what I am looking for! Michael has always gone out of his way to source watches/other items he does not normally stock in store which is really going above and beyond for his clientele. The 2 most memorable pieces I have purchased have been men’s diamond rings (pictures at bottom) – Michael educated me on how to properly size your rings (I like my rings a little more on the tight size which means I would not have been able to wear it in the summer months when it is warmer and you fingers swell slightly) and designed them custom 1 of a kind with me in mind. I was so pleased with the result after purchasing my first ring that I had him design and build the second one as a surprise – the only specifications I gave to him was to use 3x half carat stones, a timeframe and budget to stay within, and wow did he deliver something out of this world! The white gold ring with such a high mount looked so great I can use it as a casual daily ring or even as a wedding ring when the time comes. I have gotten numerous compliments on both rings and always guide people Michael’s way. Growing up as a 5th generation Jeweler, Michael has experience/knowledge well beyond his years and has an extreme eye for detail and class pieces. He often goes out of his way to ask how I still like my pieces and if I need any repairs/polishing done and this is a nice personal touch – he appreciates and values his customers and has the best in customer service. If you are looking for rings, necklaces, tennis bracelets, earrings, etc then Michael and Olympic Jewlers are really your only choice in the greater Seattle area! I look forward to being a customer for many years to come!

I had an “ok” experience with this place when it came to resizing my ring. Got it resized twice - once because it was resized down for my right hand and then second time because I had to size it up once I switched to wearing it on my left hand. Got it resized and now it’s too big - you can see in my wedding photo that it slides around. I didn’t purchase my ring from this place originally. They did clean it during the process and it looked great afterwards. Edit: I did let the store know the sizing wasn't right the first time - but I recognized that it was due to my lack of understanding that fingers are differently sized on each hand. My 'okay' review was also due to the fact that I wasn't happy that I needed to pay 300~ USD plus another 260~ USD to get it resized again. They did give me a small discount for the second resizing. I could have left a negative review given that I am not satisfied with the outcome of the ring still not fitting and having paid this business more than 500 USD total. I feel my review is fair and honest - it is nothing personal.

Family jewels is right. This increasingly rare gem-of-an-experience is fantastic!

I had a hard to find want and another more common need for gifts - a little customization and tradition. Michael not only found the perfect items, but he educated the differences (very candidly) and welcomed my somewhat...uh, make that VERY indecisive status.

His patience were splendid. And it didn't hurt to have HIS mother their too :-D She told me about the rich history of the family company. After we all talked, about life and jewelry or whatnot, I comfortably made my decision.

BUT...ALL WAS NOT SETTLED - I'd forgotten that my (AMAZING BUT) very much an "early present peeking" wife would likely find the sparkles before surprise time. It was too many days to risk. And I'd found the perfect surprise.

(this is the cherry on top) ...so get this...Michael and his mom insisted that I let them professionally wrap the set in their beautiful blue signature, high quality presentation. And they that they will be open everyday for pick up, encouraging me to come Christmas Eve for a toast with bubbly
