CrackleMi Café & Catering — Restaurant in Seattle

I would like to preface this review by saying that my partner and I have been to CrackleMi Cafe Fremont at least 10 times between the two of us since they have opened, and every experience has been totally fine until this one. We ordered two Banh Mi sandwiches this evening. We have both dined in and and done take out in the past - tonight, it was take out. We received our food after a short wait, and took it home. When we arrived home and started to dig into the food, we were shocked. The quality was nothing like what we had experienced up until this point - the bread on both sandwiches was covered in what seemed to be oil or grease, to the point where it was leaking through the wrappers. The bread was so soggy (and we only live a few minutes away, so this should not have been the case) that it was falling apart the second you picked it up. The veggies, meat and eggs were also sodden. Keep in mind, I ordered this exact sandwich just days ago, took it home and it was perfect, so I am unsure of what happened tonight. This was extremely disappointing, as we do love this place. We hope that whatever issue they were having tonight does not become a repeat thing, as we would love to continue coming here, but not when you are paying $30+ for...

The absolute worst bahn mi I’ve ever had

I seriously never imagined not liking a bahn mi but this was so bad that I feel I would do this place a disservice if I did not tell them how horrible it was. The bread was so soggy like they poured hot water all over the top of it. The onions were like the outside layer of an onion was steamed and they were chewy — super off putting. Then half the bahn mi was cilantro STALKS. Yes stringy and woody.

My wife’s vermicelli wasn’t much better. Not vermicelli noodles but white looking spaghetti.

I just don’t understand how a place could make such bad food. For real I feel bad for them but recommend they close and find other jobs.

Also you order on an iPad and bus your own table so not sure why they ask for tip? The chairs and tables were all dirty and sticky so they clearly aren’t cleaning anything. The food health rating on the window say “Okay”, so like clearly nothing is working here.

Last thing I’ll say is Luckys is right around the corner and so good. Like seriously bahn mis are my favorite sandwich and I can’t imagine ever not liking one but here we are, crackle mi...

My team ordered catering for about 100 people (100 half banh mi, BYO buffet, egg rolls) for an event. Ordering on their website was very easy. However, we ordered delivery and the food came an hour late. I called them MANY times, both from a number they called me on when I submitted an inquiry and from the order invoice, and it took 40 minutes of calling again and again before I got someone who could help. This was stressful as we had 100 hungry people at our event standing around waiting. The person who finally picked up said they’d check in with the delivery person and call me back, but they didn’t call me back and I had to call them again. While the person on the phone apologized, the delivery driver’s excuse was they had many catering orders that day. I can understand that, but they didn’t even try to contact us that they would be late. Service was terrible. When the food did come, it was praised by many people and many came back for seconds.
