Seattle Water Taxi Dock — Local services in Seattle

I took the West Seattle water taxi from Alki over to downtown Seattle. It just took a few minutes and was inexpensive. Once we got there, we explored the waterfront and then walked over to Pike Place Market. It was a long walk, but very interesting and I recommend it for everyone who is mobile. If you can’t walk long distances, it’s probably not a good idea because once you get over to downtown Seattle, it’s a long walk to get to Pike Place Market or to get over to Pioneer Square. However, if you do want to do it, I recommend downloading the yellow cab app as it’s cheaper than Uber or Lyft and you can get to Pioneer Square for less...

This is my new favorite thing to do after work!

We took the water taxi over to west Seattle, got fish and chips at marination, and watched the sunset over the city skyline and hopped back on the water taxi to go home. Then we stopped by Molly moons for ice cream!

Best part is you can use your Orca card or the tickets can be easily purchased at the kiosk at the dock.

This is a nice dock. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This is a large, singular dock with one ramp to board the water taxi. There’s a long ramp from this floating dock to the pier terminal, so there’s plenty of room to stand in line. Fortunately, I didn’t have to do that when I was here.
