I was looking for a Thai massage studio with a very experienced practitioner, Eric Spivack came highly recommended by a previous student of his in Spokane, WA where I live. I have experienced both styles of Thai massages in Southeast Asia at exclusive health & wellness spa resorts who only employ the finest trained staff, and I wanted to find someone with similar skills and experience as I am very particular and do my research on those I go to when receiving any treatments.
I was extremely pleased to find Eric and to experience his healing touch. I have to compliment him on the serene tranquility and ambiance he has created in his practice spaces. It’s as if you were transported to Thailand. The landscape surrounding his setting is incredibly lush. One can immediately sense with great reverence of who practices here. The energy you feel upon entering the gate and taking the path to a staircase leading to his private practice is very healing. I was thoroughly impressed with my Thai massage session. Eric is truly a warm, welcoming and experienced practitioner who is keenly sensitive and aware of what my body needed.
After discovering that he teaches his craft, I decided to go through his Thai Massage Training Program to be able to integrate it with my practice as an Ayurvedic Practitioner. I am very pleased at how professional, well organized and thorough his lessons are designed. I would highly recommend Eric at Soaring Crane & Acupuncture.

Read moreEric was unable to address my complaints and instead told me to do very basic relaxation approaches at home, follow a certain diet based on Ayurvedic medicine, and take a homeopathic remedy that did nothing, aka a placebo. His bodywork consisted of applying only small amounts of pressure with swift movements, which contrasts greatly to other massage therapists who were actually able to provide some help. You may have a different experience but I was expecting more given his knowledge and other reviews.
Edit: To further clarify, Eric told me trying to solve my problem with his bodywork would be essentially like trying to play whack a mole and if I wanted to I could schedule a follow up appointment with a voice with a lack of confidence in it even being useful, which after additional thought indicated to me he wasn't so sure his work would even be able to address this. I never expected to be fixed in one session. This is just my personal experience, he may help with others as described in...
Read moreEric is a very skilled and knowledgeable body worker, and I highly recommend a Thai Massage session with him. On top of that, he is just a lovely person. Everything about Eric's business is professional, from his experienced touch, to his beautiful and zen feeling treatment space and garden. Eric has travelled to Thailand multiple times to study, and expertly practices traditional Thai massage, which includes a combination of stretching, compression, energy work, breath work, and so much more. He manages to find each area that needs attention, and as he smoothly transitions from one move to another, the session just flows. At the same time, Eric individually tailors each session to the particular needs and desires of the client, and remains aware of that through out the session. It is blissful to lie on the mat after a session, and just absorb how wonderful your body feels. Highly...
