My mother and I have been repeat customers there for quite some time. Over time their service has gone down hill. They have poor customer service and not very friendly. There have also been atleast 3 different recent incidents where we’ve bought a large quantity of dim sum and they have over charged us or have not fullfiied the amount we paid for by putting less in our take out containers. At first we thought it was just an honest mistake or error but it kept happening repeatedly. We are no longer going to go there. Just beware and calculate the prices on your own ahead of time and make sure they give you the quantity that you paid for. The middle aged lady is the worse salesperson.
The last time I went there, I went with my 5 year old daughter and she wanted to dine there since she was hungry rather than take to go. I asked the lady if we can eat here, she said she was too busy and not serving people right now. I said it’s fine we just want to eat our food we bought. Read moreGood neighborhood hangout for basic uncomplicated, inexpensive dim sum and a very good lunch menu served up with generous portions, all for honest cheap bucks. Because of the "Rona Plaque" as the Brits call it, the Golden Daisy no longer has dine-in facilities. It's been walled off. BUT...the menu is alive and well for take-out. Oh yeah. And they have a small hot box with hum bow, baked green onion buns, sesame seed red bean paste balls, and my personal favorite, ham sui kok. Don't know what that one is kids? It's a deep fried dumpling filled with seasoned ground pork. A very tasty snack-a-roo....
Read moreHole in the wall place with cheap, authentic, delicious food! I don't need to go all the way to China Town for Chinese food anymore; this place is super close to where I live and has legitimate Chinese BBQ hanging up that they'll chop up for you right then and there, on top of all the other dishes they have. I'm not joking when I say it's one of the cheapest places around--you can get honey walnut shrimp for about $9 when it's typically $12-13 at other restaurants! Just remember to bring cash with you as they don't take card. Definitely worth checking out if you want to try to save...
