My recent experience with the AT&T store in Sequim was below dissatisfactory. Be very careful about entering into any agreement Zach, the store manager, presents to you. In my case, I was persuaded by Zach to leave my current AT&T plan. As an incentive to do this, I was given a $568 discount on two new phones. When I received my first bill under this new plan, the monthly fees I was being charged had increased by almost $30 over the plan I had been convinced to leave. And I was locked in for 36 months! In other words, I would be paying over $1,000 in extra fees over the next three years in exchange for a $568 discount on two phones. This drastic increase in fees was not disclosed to me prior to signing the agreement. Zach’s response? He told me he couldn’t possibly have known the new fees because they varied by geographic area and he had people coming to his store from Montana, California, and many other places and the fees were different for each place. Wait…..what? He knew exactly where I lived and it’s hard to believe he couldn’t have determined the fees and disclosed them. He just chose not to. My advice to anyone considering signing an agreement in this store is get the future fees clearly stated and in writing. If you hear the same nonsense about geographic areas and an inability to calculate the fees, pack up your credit card and leave the store immediately. Luckily for me, I was able to cancel my agreement within the 14 day rescission window. I was, however, charged an exorbitant “restocking fee” and a portion of my originally paid sales tax was withheld. Still, I consider myself to be fortunate to have gotten out of this deal when I did. Zach’s parting comment to me was that he would be putting a notation on my account and that if I chose to stay with AT&T, I could take any future issues I had to Walmart because he wouldn’t be helping me. One last point, Costco often offers the same plans as this AT&T store, and they throw in a $100 gift card. Zach explained to me that the service he offers was worth more than a $100 gift card. My advice to you if you’re faced with the same choice, take...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst experience here in my life!!!! My parents went in to get some technical support for using their phone while in Mexico and they told them they could help them save money by changing their plan to a lower monthly rate. Well, the bill went UP from $160 to $292!!!! Bleep!!! We were told it was going to be $132 per month. We also lost out HBO AND the bill went way way up. They promised we would get a credit blah blah. Nope!!! We got charged the full amount. Don’t trust what they say!!! We are so so frustrated! I have now wasted hours on separate days on the phone trying to straighten this out and still no resolution so far. We are having to put a dispute on the charge now with the credit card company because we are out of options and file a complaint with BBB and with the attorney general’s office. Update: Zach said not to call ATT directly to resolve the issue but I was desperate and called them anyway. After over 2 hours on the phone or waiting, they sorted it out. Zach added 2 additional lines without our understanding called eSIM accounts to my parents’ phones which cost more. Ugh! I asked him why 2 additional lines showed up and he assured me that this was a way to get more of a discount over and over to the point of him making me feel stupid. ATT said that is wrong because it is less per line but since 2 more lines, it’s more. Ugh!!! I asked Zach about this over and over and he belittled me and made me feel ignorant and that I didn’t understand how things worked. Well, it turns out, my intuitive common sense questioning was warranted!!! If you want to get the best lowest cost plan without being over charged, call ATT...
Read moreif I could give no stars I would. I’ve been an at&t customer for over 12 years. I have 14 lines and I pay close to 700 a month for my bill. I found out that I could take my military service papers in and I would get a 25% discount on my bill. I dealt with the new store manager and after what seemed like forever the manager informed us that everything was taken care of, and the discount would reflect on my next bill. We then went on vacation. While on vacation our bill came and it was over $1000.00 dollars. When we got home we went to at&t in a different town and was informed that, not only was my plan, that I’ve had for years and was grandfathered into, was cancelled and a new one was started. I also found out that three new lines were added to my account. When I asked to have my plan put back to normal, I was informed that I couldn’t because it was canceled. This should be considered theft and fraud and someone should be...
