NAMELESS FOOD MART: I've been driving past this place for 3 years and never knew it had a name: Mini Fairmont. I only learned the name by googling it to add the picture. There's no name displayed anywhere to see when driving by; no mural painted on the side wall with the name, nothing. I've noticed painting on the building at times, but a name never stood out to me if it was there.
WHAT'S INSIDE: I can't speak to what's inside or the service because the 'food mart' sign has never been enough to pull me in; it doesn't tell me there's anything different about this food mart from any other food mart, so why bother stopping. (This review is really more for business owners to understand what some customers are looking for before they even enter a business to spend their money.)
BAD ADVERTISING: It perplexes me as to why they don't display their name if they have a name other than 'food mart' because it would entice me to go inside. It's a shame to see so many businesses in this area miss the mark like this; something as simple as putting the actual business name on the building could intrigue people to come in, including me. Maybe the name was recently changed, maybe they don't have the money for signs, maybe the city doesn't approve of certain signage, maybe they don't want to gain more customers, maybe it's hip to not display a business name on the building, maybe they think it isn't broke so why bother fixing it.
I don't get it, but...

We finally went yesterday and ordered 3 dishes, buttered chicken, beef curry and the daal (my favourite), all with rice, plus naan with, I think, lime pickle - absolutely delicious! Loved the hint of the different spices. We'll be back to try the tikka wings and a few other dishes. Friendly owners and a nice little wine selection! And right here...

We tried Samosa chana chart snack, butter chicken burrito, chicken curry rice and Saag paneer must try. Spice level- North Indian 😊. Uncle at the store cooks fresh food himself with authentic Indian ingredients....
