Costco is a company I love. I prefer to do near all my shopping at Costco. However there is a significant difference between this Costco and any other Costco Iâve shopped at. Whoever is ordering and taking inventory is majorly messing up. Today looking to buy eggs, in bulk obviously, they expire in 3 days. This is a theme acrossed the store but itâs a particular problem in produce. Often times broccoli or the greens are already brown and wilting when I buy them and then somehow weâre expected to eat the entire amount within a couple days. This is largely a retirement community, very few families are eating that amount of wilted produce in a matter of days. Another large issue I have is why such a large company canât take Mastercard, discover or American Express. The merchant fees are surely comparable to what visa is asking, and even if not itâs little loss when put in juxtaposition to the enormous amount not purchased due to not realizing they donât accept anything besides visa. Then Costco pays for an employee to return those items to the shelf, hopefully quickly as they could very well be As a company grows it makes sense they would become more accommodating and seek to meet their customers needs, that is clearly not the case and thatâs unfortunate. I canât imagine what they lose in just gas sales daily due to the prioritizing visa. They need to get...
Read moreI enjoy Costco, and rue never being able to leave without dropping at lease $150.
My issue? The other members.
Allow me to explain.
The parking lot has become NASCAR, with members speeding through to get "that one good spot" closest to the door. Hades forbid their overloaded cart should be pushed 100 feet further away. And to Hell with the members walking across the parking lot, which has now become an obstacle course to slalom through. Thank Christ for insurance, right?
Once inside the door, dirty looks abound if one walks at a "normal pace" on the right side of the aisle with a cart. Oh no. Not good enough. Not fast enough. Folks blow by without a glimmer of manners or common courtesy, not a single "excuse me" or "pardon me", nothing but a glare and a disdainful sniff through raised nose as though it's all my fault for existing in their entitled airspace.
The employees here are awesome, willing to help at the drop of a hat, full of answers to your questions whether they be about loins, crab, lobster, or that rather large shepherd's pie in the case.
Getting back to you vehiclenis almost as precarious as getting to the doors, reminding me of playing Frogger as a kid. Just puff up, make yourself look bigger, don't run, stand your ground, show no fear. The...
Read moreI have been a member for a very long time, and today I wanted to get a few things ($200+). Today, I brought my small dog⊠thinking it was ok-no one said differently. As we were shopping many, many people stopped to admire my dog because he is pretty cute. Anyways long story short the manager came up to me twice because my dog gets excited and when people pet him and call out his name, he has a tendency to bark , so he bark on three different occasions and my dog is small but he has a big bark, anyways they let me know that I couldnât bring him if he barks âbecause it causes disruption to the shoppersâ when the shoppers were the ones that were making him bark. Then I go to check out and another lady approaches me and follows me all the way out the door, tells I canât bring my dog in for future reference and he canât be barking. I said I understand Iâve been told three times now and you know you donât kick out screaming kids when theyâre screaming out loud do you? She agreed somewhat. All in all kind of a disturbing trip to Costco here in Sequim, not very friendly people and I sure didnât feel very welcomed. Donât let you dog bark!! Found want I wanted...
