Baja Cantina — Restaurant in Sequim

My favorit food in all the world is Mexican food. The main reasons being, The super friendly service, The over sized portions and Great tasting food. What a Huge disappointment when I came to Sequim WA and found a really nice looking Mexican restaurant called Baja Cantina on Washington ave. This place FAILED in all three area's and then some. The place is decorated really nice but I did notice right away a waitress that was making way too many trips back and forth servicing just one table in a relatively empty restaurant She then went behind the bar and started cleaning some menus off and I had yet to have anyone come take my order. I did get water chips and a very small dish of sauce for the chips. It was only after I asked for more sauce for the chips did she come over and take my order. I ordered a Chimichanga . They charge extra for rice and beans on the side with it. When my meal arrived in not to bad of a time the Chimichanga was not big like a Big Fried Burrito should look. It was puny about 4.5 to 5 inches long at best and and NOT FAT. Also there was no sour cream or guacamole. I brought this to the attention of my waitress and she informed me they charged Xtra for condiments. I was floored!

I am 55 yrs old and never in my life have I eat at a Mexican restaurant that charged extra for sour cream and guacamole that normally comes with this typ of meal. I told her I was shocked and wanted to ask the manager directly about this policy.

A man came to me a few mins later identifying himself as the Mang. I explained to him that in all my life I had never has a reastraunt charge me extra for condimeants that Normally come with a meal. I gave him the example of ordering a Hamburger and the restaurant telling you they charge extra for mayo, mustard tomatos or pickles. The mangers response to me was. "If you don't like it leave!" I was WOWED!.. Yes this place charges extra for condimeants that should come with a meal. So yes this place failed. On portion size and friendliness. I never did try the food. I walked out after being told to leave if I did not like being charged for...

My husband and I decided to go out and try this new resturant mind you we haven't been out for a long time now this was our first choice new, mexican food, out together FINALLY! We walked in took about 5 min to be seated it was super slow like 2 groups inside and 3 groups outside this is great ! finally a waitress came to seat us no ENTHUSIASM ,no smile, barely said anything we requested outside seating she didnt seem thrilled at all by this request she got us chips and salsa thats it didnt ask us typical dine in questions ect.....and we were at a dirty table husband had to switch out chairs due to bird feces on them 15 min go by nothing no drinks no explanation on why it was taking so long to order i see others being taking care of its sad i was eager to try it i heard good things why was our encounter so terrible idk i also admit maybe i was a bit impatient but i wasnt thrilled about any of it. Prices where expensive but i didnt care about that so much to choose from and it looked SO good. I want to try it again maybe it will be different next time im big into customer service i am in customer service myself so i have high standards they are a new resturant !! You would think they want to do everything possible to get this place at full potential so we left. Had to turn around and our chips and salsa were still there !! They didnt even notice we left any way i hope next try will be...

WHEN I GOT HOME LATER I OPEN THE BOX TO FIND CHIPS,CHEESE, SHREDDED BEEF THAT WAS ALL THAT WAS IN SIDE NO SOUR CREAM.GUACAMOLE.OR PICO DE GALLO THE SERVER CHARGED ME THE $ 10.95 FOR THE NACHOS AND $ 3.50.FOR SOUR CREAM AND GUACAMOLE

THE NACHOS I GOT ARE ONLY $ 9.95 I CALLED THE MANAGER AND TOLD HER WHAT HAD HAPPEN SHE SAID I SHOULD HAVE LOOK IN IT BE FOR LEAVING WELL THE SERVER DID NOT MESS UP MY LUNCH ORDER WHY WOULD I THINK SHE WOULD MESS THIS UP THE MANAGER SAID I NEED TO BRING IT BACK AND MY FRIEND THAT PUT IT ON HER CARD HAD TO COME BAKE TO SO SHE COULD PUT IT BACK ON THE CARD THEY DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO COME BACK AND I HAVE NO WAY OF GETTING THEIR NOT SURE IF WE WILL BE COMING BACK OR TELL OUR...
