I had a larger, 78 lb box with a pre-paid label that said I could take it to any UPS store location. I went into the store and asked for either assistance or a dolly. The owner said she didnāt have anyone to help me but had her employee give me a dolly. Two other customers in the store offered to help me, and we brought the package in the store. The owner then proceeded to rudely tell me it needed to be weighed. But here is where the Indian store owner needs to accept responsibility...her floor scale that is designed to weigh heavy packages was ānot connected to anything,ā so she forced two CUSTOMERS to lift the package onto the counter and balance it on a counter scale designed for small boxes. If you think itās my responsibility to get the package in the door, then itās YOUR responsibly to have the appropriate equipment for weighing the box. Asking customers to lift the box onto the counter on a scale not designed for such a large box was unacceptable, poor customer service, and a big liability for you in the event a customer got injured. After weighing the package, the owner then said it needed to be moved to the back of the shop. I responded that I would let her and her employee figure that out, to which she responded āItās not my responsibility, Iām just a woman, what do you want me to do.ā I did not walk out of the store, despite the ownerās comments in the previous review. I stated the obvious, that I am a woman too, and she made a discriminatory comment that āWhy didnāt you bring your husband with you then?ā Not sure what that had to do with her doing her job by moving the box to the back of the store. Once again, another customer took the dolly and package and walked behind the counter and put the package in the back as the owner watched. From the minute the package was in the door, this owner allowed CUSTOMERS to do her job, from weighing the package to moving it to back. The owner wrongly claimed in the previous review that I didnāt pay her. It was a pre-paid label that had already been paid by the vendor. Itās obvious to me that if youāre not actually pulling out your credit card to buy something in the store, the owner could care less about your current or future business.
In conclusion, here is my advice to you Ms. Owner: Walk outside your shop and look up. See that logo on the front of your store? You own a franchise called UPS. That stands for the United PARCEL Service. You move and ship PARCELS for a living. Itās not my problem that you have a bad wrist. Itās also not my problem that you canāt staff your store appropriately with employees that know how to use a dolly. The customer is always right. Always. Your customer service is non-existent. Iām not even sure you understand the definition of customer service. Youāre rude and nasty to others for no reason. You give UPS a bad name and reputation. You have no business owning a business. Have you considered maybe YOU are the problem and not your customers? And to anyone who read all this and got down to the end, go to any other UPS location...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been coming to the store for three years. I donāt know why thereās so many negative reviews. Iāve always been able to ship my products, many returns from Amazon and other stores, and they have a really helpful USPS drop off if you have the shipping label on it, ready to go. More recently, they have added the new Amazon return kiosk where you can actually print out The label and attach it to a bag just like they do and you get refunded fairly quickly. The employees seem to be high school or college aged kids. Always super friendly with me. Sometimes there are lines in the beginning when they open or the end of the day, they do get rushes, but Iāve always had a wonderful experience at this location. Glad that they are also open on sundays!
Update 9/24/2024 - immediately changing my review to one star due to the fact that the bigger. taller man with glasses just yelled at an employee I was working with for processing my āhappy returnsā that I didnāt know how to do. I explained that I didnāt have tags and everything was already in the return bag. Completely uncalled for and in front of other customers without nicely offering help. If heās management, someone from upper management/ownership needs to remind people how to treat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo whom it may concern: If I could have given negative stars I wouldāve of. I have used this location quite a few times because my tanning place is nearby I do prefer the one on mound They are very friendly, they actually have a conversation with you and seem to appreciate the businessā¦ā¦ I have had the tall gentleman with the glasses several times and seeing how I work in retail myself, he should not be working the counter!!!!!!! When I walked in today there was nobody waiting there mightāve been one other person in the store at that time. We made eye contact. I walked over to the counter and he proceeded to then slam something down behind the counter which startled me. Seemed like I was inconveniencing him apparently. He then started scanning my packages didnāt say one word with the first 4. I then pulled out a small package that was about 2ā x 4ā very small and apparently it shouldāve been bagged I get it my mistakeā¦ā¦ Didnāt have a problem in telling me that it needed to be boxed or bagged. It was like he took pleasure in telling me that. Pretty sad that was the only time he showed any type of emotion or personality. Sir if you hate your job that much you might want to find a new one...
