Do not go here. Two separate visits, both were awful. If you want a quality item find a local jeweler. Not retail with another mark-up of +10%. We got got a ring on James Allen and decided to follow up with their Jared store front. In short, it was a waste of time, but thankfully not my money.
First experience was taking the James Allen ring in to fix a tine and replace a diamond. They wanted it for two weeks before even sending it out to fix the ring at the New York facility. The woman couldn’t fully explain why they would take so long despite being the same company so we decided to just ship it directly to James Allen and got it back in less than two.
Second experience, several years later shopping for new wedding bands. We enter the store and are greeted by a large man with a stern and severe attitude. He welcomed us in and directed us to a seat. Despite being put off by his greeting we approached the counter and a lady jeweler came to speak with us. First problem? They don’t deal in 18 karat and told us we would need “custom” rings if we didn’t want 14k “gold.” My wife wanted a particular style and their selection was ABYSMAL. Instead of finding a catalogue to help find her vision, the jeweler insisted on her choosing between three styles that weren’t close. Eventually the lady conceded but told us any other ring will require additional “custom” work. As the sales pitch to my wife fizzled, the gentleman we assumed was a security guard approached and began attempting a sale to me. I went a long with it albeit confused. He chose the wrong ring out of the case twice and each time I said so, he insisted I try it anyway. The ring I wanted wasn’t available and they told me they would have to send out to have it custom made. (Are you seeing a pattern?) They quoted a ridiculous number for my wife’s ring and then doubled it for custom work other jewelers offered for free or at a fraction of the cost. They told me a basic male band would take several weeks to receive and would likely be in the $2000 range. I contained my laughter and they insisted on taking my information to send me a final price because they couldn’t get a quote in the twenty minutes we were in the store.
As expected, I never received that quote but I’ll never follow up. Found a local jeweler to do both rings plus a custom necklace for farrrrr less than the price of one ring at Jared. Trust me, she won’t care if “he went to Jared” and you’ll be happy not...
Read moreI think the thought of anything ever happening to one’s wedding rings, it’s just a thought no one wishes to truly experience. However, when my wife’s ring broke, having the warranty was the only hope we had for trying to resolve the issue. From the very first day, the whole team was reassuring that they would be able to help us and get us through it. I’m bad at names, but the first woman that helped us was nothing less than amazing and Cam was very reassuring that we were in good hands. Well all was true, as they repaired the ring and it was better than new. Sad to say the ring broke again but this time the damage was much worst. We took it back and we met Sada this time. She was very honest with us and told us, there were many flaws in the online design I had created. Making many weak points, not the best news but it was the honesty we appreciated. She encouraged us to work with her and her team to reconstruct a more stable ring without losing our investment. It took some time to agree, as the first one had so many memories. But after coming to terms with it, we could not be happier with the results. We learned so much through the process and truly built a life long trust. If you’re looking for amazing service and honesty, I would highly recommend...
Read moreTwice has this store informed me that my warranted ring was not warranted. I thought after the hiccup in November/December 2021 when I went to get my ring inspected and repaired at the simi valley location would have cleared up the misunderstanding about my ring not being "warranted". Please keep in mind that this ring was not purchased at this Jared location but was purchased at the Jared in Palmdale. Today I called the Simi Valley location to verify when I needed to take my ring for the next inspection and was told AGAIN that my ring is not warranted. I called the Jared in Palmdale to verify and was informed that my ring was indeed warranted. This location does not appear to keep their internal records up to date. Will not be coming back to this location or calling this location because it did not feel good hearing that my engagement ring's warranty was nullified (when it actually isn't). This is twice a representative has informed me of this....
