First off, I just want to say that the staff here was amazing! If you are the owner or manager of this place, both of your employees from the closing shift on 02/16/2020 deserve a raise. They were both knowledgeable, friendly, and helped us through the experience, going out of their way to make our 8 year old son smile. They were enthusiastic, warm, and great at their jobs in a way that is so hard to find in employees.
I loved the employee creation I tried... I think it was called raspberry pie or something similar (raspberries, brownie batter, and graham cracker crumbs, original cream). My girlfriend got the banana cream pie, and my son made his own with cherries and Oreos.
The actual freezing of the cream was awesome and interesting to watch. If I may insert a groan-worthy dad joke here, it was super cool haha
We even tried the Dragon's Breath balls just for fun. You definitely have to eat them quickly to produce the effect of frosty breath but they were fun and made us all laugh.
I wish one of these was closer to us. We had a blast and will definitely seek out these shoppes again whenever...
Read moreMy reviews center on eating Gluten Free. Luckily we got there at a slow time and the employees had time to go get the jug of their ice cream base so I could read the ingredients - thanks! But neither of them knew if it was gluten free and frankly didn't know what gluten is. Happily, the ice cream base looked GF and I feel okay after eating it. They were OUT of salted caramel flavor! But we can live around that. We love freshly made liquid nitrogen ice cream - so very creamy. I think maybe Creamistry achieves the silkiest mouth-feel of all, with their big mixers working the ice cream, but this was very good. It had better be good, at close to $8 for a Regular cup (their middle size). Think about the cost of a pint of Ben and Jerry's, etc. The employees were friendly and helpful, but food workers these days need to know at least the basics about food sensitivities and ingredients.
I recommend enjoying a treat here - especially if you have no limitations and can eat anything you want - count...
Read moreReally appreciate the vegan options available here. There are 2 vegan bases to choose from: almond and coconut. Lots of the flavor mix ins are vegan. It would be really nice to have the menu board call out which ones are vegan so that the workers don't have to read it off every time. The employees are very good about not cross contaminating the vegan options with the dairy options. Lots of the toppings are vegan, but there was less knowledge on which items are vegan. Again, would love to see the vegan items labeled on the menu board for ease of ordering. Overall, the ice cream was good, the workers were nice, and they had indoor and outdoor seating available. Look forward to...
