I scheduled an appointment for 10am this morning for ear piercing. Upon arriving at 9:50am the store was still closed. I waited. At 10:01am, the store was still closed. I noticed someone in the back, so o proceeded to knock on the door. The associate came to door , unlocked it, did not greet me, and looked extremely annoyed. I stayed where I was, and stated I was there for my 10am appointment, instead of opening the door for me, she just pointed and said, “ok, you can go in”. I brushed that bit of rudeness of and went to where she pointed. Immediately she her attitude was extremely rude to me as she proceeded to tell me to “pick your earrings”. So I did, then expressing audible irritation, proceeded to ask me if I wanted the 3 week solution or 6 week solution, explained to her that I hadn’t gotten my ears pierced since I was a baby and was unfamiliar with the process. She again expressed audible irritation and proceeded to explain in an expedited manner the difference between these options. Still trying to keep my cool, I told her I’d go with the 3 week solution. And then she asked for my ID which I promptly gave her. She took my ID, placed on the table in front of her, then proceeded to ask me for my name, address, and DOB ( which was on my ID)! At this time MY irritation with her nasty attitude began to show. I promptly put my ID up and verbally gave this woman my information, that she couldn’t be bothered to get from my ID. At this point she asked for my email address, and I declined. She then said stated “ well, you were going to get a free earring, but since you declined, then your not”. I said, “Well, I didn’t know about about that offer, but if you need my email, here it is”, and she proceeded to shove the tablet she was working from in my face and told me to type it in. I politely told her , I don’t preferred not to touch that device ( I normally wouldn’t have had a problem with this, but her rudeness and demanding tone made me not want to) and verbally and phonetically spelled out my email address for her. After this, I said, “ I hope you have a better morning,” because I was the VERY FIRST customer of the day and her attitude was NASTY, and I pray she wasn’t rude to every customer that came after me this morning. She didn’t say anything and proceeded to pierce my ears. Now she did a nice job, no complaints there, but her attitude needs a MAJOR ADJUSTMENT, and left me with a bad taste in my mouth for Claire’s, of which I’ve been a customer for...

When I called Claire’s in Slidell to schedule my daughter’s appointment, I specifically asked if she would need to wear a face mask due to the pandemic and was told, no it is not required. When we showed up for her appointment, I was then informed by the employee that she would not pierce my child’s ears without her having a mask on. There was also another upset customer standing behind us, saying they were not told either that they needed a mask. I had to take my daughter out of there broken hearted and in tears. Thankfully, we were able to purchase a mask at another store and we were able to bring her back. The employee was nice to my daughter when we returned and her piercings look good. I only went back so that my child wouldn’t be devastated, but I will no longer do business with Claire’s because if we hadn’t found a mask, it would have ruined my daughter’s day. I am 20 years old and got my ears pierced for the very first time today and she did it quickly and made me feel welcome and like she really enjoyed her job. The store was out of essential items like gloves her size so she had to stretch the gloves to fit her so she could peirce my ears without it being a sanitary hazard. I know things are on back order right now but I would really appreciate if great people like Dixie had the proper supplies to do their jobs. Corporate should really look into sending this store the proper supplies so their employees can provide even better service and do their jobs properly without it being an issue.
