We initially visited this store to buy swim caps, but noticed a women's sale rack. The sign on the sale rack stated that all the pants were discounted based on the colored dots. As my daughter and I went through the pants, there were only a few itens that had dots and they were all green, which meant the price was as already marked. So we stopped one of the workers to find out about the dozens of other pants on the rack with no dots. She did the right thing by explaining that she didn't know because she was new, but left us to find out. She never came back. As we were walking to checkout she and another employee approached us. The male employee, I assumed was the manager, states that the sale has been going on all week and must have purchased all the pants that where on sale. He could not explain why the sale rack was still full other than to say people may have walked by and hung the non-sale pants on the sale rack.😯WOW, either you have a sale or you don't. And if you know there are items in the store that are not where they belong, move them to where they should be instead of misrepresenting a sale and misleading customers. It was a complete...
Read moreNice friendly workers, but the stock left a lot to be desired. Just about everything I got excited about, or ready to get? Was not in stock in my size! Also, there were quite a few items that I saw on their website, that were not in stock, even though the website said they WERE in stock. And yes, I'm sure I was looking at it right. I have an account, and have the local store here set as my store. And when you are looking at an item, like a piece of clothing, after you select the size, you can ask it to show you if the local store, or ANY store, has it in stock, and available to pick up. I'm only docking one star though, because of how fast technology keeps changing! I'm pretty knowledgeable about computers and cell phones, so everyone close to me looks to me for technological advice. Yet, I feel like I'm barely hanging on to the back end...
Read moreI went to Dick's last night to purchase my son's T-Ball equipment and clothing and as soon as I walked through the door I was literally followed by a store associate as if I was going to try to steal something. The store associate claimed that she was "helping" me but I could literally see all of the other associates talking on the radio making sure me, my fiance, and my 5 year old son were being "taken care of". I am extremely disappointed in the profiling that took place and I honestly regret purchasing $200 worth of anything from this place. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING AT THE SLIDELL DICK'S LOCATION. I wanted to leave a review to warn anyone who may "look suspicious" and I will be calling the store today to speak with a manager. Word of advice: Go to Academy! They treat all of their...
