Tractor Supply Co. — Local services in Smithfield

We called ahead to make sure they had what we needed in stock, got all the information over the phone (warranty information, price, etc). After driving 2 hours, we got there it turns out they didn't have the exact one in stock and had misspoke. We had a DMV appointment we were driving 3 more hours to make to be able to register the trailer we were trying to buy and to be able to take on a trip this weekend so it was a big deal for it to not even be in stock. After talking to to management, they did what they could to make it right by giving us an alternative trailer with a discount. We then went and got it registered making our DMV appointment on time. We then came back late the next day to pick it up. A young man by the name of Charlie helped us get it loaded up and stayed late and after hours to make sure we were all set to go and was a huge help. Although the experience could have gone a lot smoother as they gave us a fairly large amount of misinformation over the phone (in regards to the trailer being in stock and the warranty information), they definitely did everything they could to make up for it and the customer experience (particularly when picking the trailer up) was...

So I’ll give my local store a shoutout, but when I couldn’t fit a large sized kennel on top of my jeep wrangler, nor did they have a hitchable trailer legal to use, i had my pleasure encountering an amazing employee! An amazing shoutout to Bobby Goodrich, for not only helping me with my whole buying process and helping other customers in the meantime, but making my tractor supply shopping better! He genuinely took time out of his life to make sure i was able to get my purchased item home for my chickens and I! I know good employees are one in a million, but for those who go above and beyond what they’re paid to do, deserve more recognition than the company could even attest to see. That right there is a fantastic employee, and are truly blessed to have him at such location. I’ll now love shopping there more, for such a selfless act, and genuine compassion for the “customers” as a whole. They deserve more than...

Great service all around but I was very impressed with one gent in particular, Jacob R. He helped me on quite a few occasions. But in this particular instance he helped me look for the right foods needed for my animals, when a issued rose up that needed his attention he apologized went and took care of the issue and came right back to help me carry what I had to my vehicle.

Was sad to hear he had been let go, due to, from I understand, helping a customer beyond his call of duty.

If anyone had a employee that worked as hard as Jacob then that company should be proud to work with them, not fire them for going above and beyond what is expected of them.

Not going to stop shopping there but I sure wont be making it...
