I recently received a call from this store informing me that my vacuum cleaner was due for an annual inspection. I visted the store with my vacuum cleaner ifor the nspection serv ice. The guy that I talked with upon entering the store was not very friendly, and more importantly he was not wearing a mask. Okay, maybe I can keep what I hope to be a safe distance from him. So, I preceed to tell him that I was their to drop off my vacuum for inspection service, and told him to please take a look to ensure that I had recently put the roller and belt back on correctly. I told him that after reinstalling the roller and belt that the vacuum cleaner did not pull/roll correctly. He told me that I needed a new roller and belt without even looking at the underside of the vacuum to inspect the roller and belt. I informed him that my vacuum was operating as intended before I attempted to untangle a jam that was caught in the vacuum by removing the roller and belt. He never responded to my input, and proceeded to try to sell me a brand new vacuum cleaner. To remove myself from his presence and the store, and to ensure hopefully that my vacuum would be repaired, I told him to move forward with the replacement of the roller and belt. I am not in the repair business for vacuum cleaners, however, I am a retired Chief Engineer, and I think that it is a strong possibility that I reinstalled the roller/belt incorrectly. More importantly, he should have at least looked at the underside of the vacuum before telling me that i needed a new roller and belt. This guy is not very friendly, and his approach is to aggressive. Someone need to inform him to adjust his attitude. This store ues to be really nice,...
Read moreI went in for a part to replace the broken bag clip and a new set of vacuum bags, and left with the worst high-pressure sales pitch experience of my life.
There was an older bald man and a younger man who didn’t say much, but at least smiled at me when I looked at him because I was SHOCKED at how insistent the bald man was that I needed a new vacuum. All I needed was an inexpensive replacement part and new bags. No matter how many times I told him I wasn’t interested in a new vacuum, he KEPT PRESSURING me. I don’t know if he was trying to reach a sales quota or something, but I will never go back there. I like to support small businesses, which is why I went in the first place, but this man needs to learn that a firm no means NO, and that he was kind of scaring me a bit with the high-pressure sales tactics.
Oh, and the clog he found and tried to sell me a cleaning for? It was one leaf. I removed it with a pair of pliers when I got home.
I don’t want to be contacted to talk about this experience. I just wanted the owners (and other women out there) to know that this man doesn’t know the meaning of the word NO. Only go in there if you plan to buy a new vacuum. Go elsewhere if you need...
Read moreThe repair was ok but I noticed there is a sound that wasn’t there before. I’m writing this review because the customer service wasn’t great. I went in to pick up my vacuum from repairs and Bruce was helping another customer. I wasn’t acknowledged that I was there. How hard is it to say mama I will be right with you. I was standing there like I wasn’t there. Also after a good 5-7 minutes waiting after him getting the customer information in his computer. He than demonstrates how cleaners works to the customer still no acknowledgement. After all that he finally ask me what could he help me with. I told him I’m there to pick up a vacuum. He gets the vacuum and heads toward the door. Never said oh I’m going to put it in your car. But where’s your car. I just keep my peace and allowed him to put it in my car. Finally he put the vacuum in the car and left the receipt on the floor off my car. He didn’t hand me the receipt. I can’t understand why people don’t provide good service from the time you come in until you leave. I will not refer anyone here nor will I return to do business. I’m hoping the owner...
