So...Stacey is actually the person who helped me get my PO Box after MONTHS of waiting. She and Will and the other postal person are nice and work hard to get things done in a timely manner. They are overworked and understaffed and I have seen countless people be rude to them because they (the customer) haven't followed the correct Postal procedures and expect to get their mail anyway. And then they argue with Stacy about why they aren't getting their mail. She doesn't make the Postal rules...she just has to follow them because it is her job.
Many times I have received packages that did not have my box number on it and they have taken care of it for me!
The real issue is that we have no mail service/delivery on this mountain and so everyone is reliant on them to get their mail. They have plenty of mail that builds up because people don't live here full-time and so property managers pick up their mail, not on a regular basis, so things pile up. Couple that with the fact that we don't have any big box stores to purchase items from and so people utilize the postal service for every delivery. I ship as many things as possible via UPS and FedEx however some vendors only utilize USPS.
The postal struggle is real here in the Valley and will not change so people will need to readjust their expectations and not be so rude and entitled. We live in a place that is incredible, but not perfect and there are some adjustments that need to be made by people; this isn't the big city where Amazon delivers in 2 hours.
You get a lot more from people when you treat them...
Read moreI am only giving 1 star because you have to, but I honestly don't believe they even deserve one star! This post office is terrible. Workers take no pride in their positions and are very lazy, super incompetent, no sense of urgency for guest and horrible customer service! I overheard a lady working saying to another co-worker that he scanned all the packages in..incorrectly. They once told me my package wasn't there when I received a notification from the company saying it was. The clerk told me it wasn't there and to come back later. I proceeded to call the company and they confirmed my package was delivered, so I went back to the post office and he gave me my package after finally taking the time to look for it...after going back and forth for 2 hours...OH and don't need anything with TIME SENSITIVITY...forget about it. My friend ordered a shirt from a website who he has purchased with many times before and they lost his package only to find it in their facility 45 days later. I would avoid this place of business at all cost unless completely necessary. ITS WORTH THE DRIVE DOWN...
Read moreRidiculous! You'd think they'd try harder after being scrutinized by the USPS but no way. I ordered a "package" that contained 4 screws... That's all, just 4 tiny, specialty, metric screws. These 4 screws have kept my car on the side of the road for over a week and I finally found them and had them delivered. The shipper put my physical address on the package rather than my PO Box number and we don't get mail delivery at the studio apartment. Rather than simply match my name and address to my PO Box and stick this tiny envelope in it, they thought it easier and more efficient to send it back, hours after they received it...on a Saturday! Now I'm not a logistics expert but I'm fairly sure that all they did was create more work for the USPS delivery system, which already sucks in Snowmass Village, Colorado. Please know that this isn't just my opinion but the laughingstock joke around town. USPS, please don't settle for lazy and inefficient, rather have a little more pride and sense of customer service because you know you can do...
