Awesome staff and awesome ice cream! I was having an absolutely awful day due to various life stressors and to top it off my kids were both just being totally uncooperative all day. I managed to bribe a few minutes of good behavior on the promise that we would go get ice cream at Sundae. Problem is we live in Basalt so it’s a bit of a schlep but I figured it would be worth it because we all needed a pick me up today. But when we got there at 3:30 it was already closed 😢 luckily for me the young woman cleaning up saw me and she must have just known how much I needed any kind of win today because she offered to get the ice cream for us despite it taking time away from her packing up. I wish I would have asked her name because she really doesn’t know how much this small act of kindness really turned my day around, when I really needed it! Whichever two girls worked at 6:30pm on Tuesday, July 8th, were extremely rude. They blatantly ignored that I was standing there waiting to be served and instead asked the gentleman who was already with a customer to help me after he was done. Meaning I stood there for 7 minutes while they went over to him and whispered about whatever was so funny to them. They also whispered and snickered while I was being helped. Their vegan chocolate ice cream is amazing! The only problem is, they almost never have it. They always have some terrible vegan flavor like piña colada or banana. I don't understand why they don't always carry the vegan chocolate since every time we call to ask if they have it, they say everyone else says the same thing. What's the problem with having two vegan flavors? There are plenty of people that are lactose intolerant and want non-dairy ice cream. I don't think they like making money.
