Very professional and helpful. I was in Snowmass skiing on 1/1/2020. I had a collision with a fellow skier and fell. I’m 51 yr old male and pridefully I didn’t accept assistance from ski patrol. Therefore, I tried to ski to the bottom clinic. Fortunately, pain overcame pride and I stopped and had my son ask for assistance. A medic arrived within 10 minutes and after he evaluated he determined that I had a broken shoulder and he summoned a snowmobile. The original medic and the snowmobile medic were very professional and comforting. They let me take my time and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. 10 minutes later I was brought to the clinic. The original medic stayed with me until I was taken into the back. I was quickly evaluated by several nurses and medical professionals. I informed them that I had a bad history with opioids. But I was in extreme pain. After quickly taking X-ray’s, the doctor reviewed and administered nasal Ketomine. This immediately relieved the pain. They were concerned that the break was too close to my sternum and felt it was best to transfer me to Aspen for a Catscan. The ambulance was there within 5 minutes and they transferred me to Aspen. The medics in the ambulance were very professional as well. I want to express my thanks to all the ski medics and staff at the mtn clinic. You all were very quick to assist and make sure to evaluate me in a timely fashion. They made me comfortable as quickly as possible. I am very grateful for your help. I wish I could recall the medics, physician, nurse, X-ray tech and staff to thank them by name. I was very disappointed with the physician assistant and doctor at the Aspen hospital. Thanks Frank...
Read moreThis is the place to go, if you want a hella rude nurse. Refused service for a broken leg, because I asked if it made more financial sense to go to the hospital for my x-ray, rather than the snowmass center. Apparently you can’t be seen by any doctor, unless you pay for the X-ray. You also can’t get the X-ray, unless you see the doctor. So while standing one legged, in intense pain having road down, because that no ski patrol where anywhere on the mountain. I was offered a nurse. At this point, I just needed medical attention. She couldn’t help whatsoever, other than shoving her finger into my broke leg, asking if it hurt. Dur. Thinking there’s a point for a nurse to causing pain? Absolutely not apparently. I was just told that I needed a X-ray, again, dur. After asking if it made more sense to get a uber to a outside hospital or medical attention for financial reasons. I was refused any answer. I was told “round numbers”. The X-ray, could be 300-500... umm well what is it. After pushing for a more clear answer before just blindly accepting, I was only gave a form that I “refused service”. Only thing I refused, was to sign that I refused service. Run away, run far away. Get real medical attention, not a clear...
Read moreAbsolutely wonderful experience overall, superb staff and facilities. Kudos and much appreciation to all involved. I absolutely cannot thank Kevin enough for his patience and care throughout my afternoon spent with him and his heroic efforts in bringing my issue to a successful conclusion. I very much appreciate Dr. Gibans concerns for the following 24 hours after their interventions and I am happy to report that my hearing issue situation has completely resolved.
Again, thank you to everyone !
