Capital Peak Lodge||We have been coming to Snowmass for years and I have never written a negative review until now. We stayed at Capital Peak Lodge 2/9/2025 - 2/14/2025. We stayed in Capital Peak last year in a VRBO and loved it, no complaints. This year we scheduled through Ski.com and our agent was fabulous. Our issues are with Coraltree Residence Collection. ||We called 3 days ahead of arrival to schedule our airport pickup, as directed by our confirmation email. We were told they don’t do it that way anymore, call when you get to airport. The person we spoke with was at Stonebridge. The person at the desk treated us like we were ignorant for calling. When we arrived at the airport, we called 3 different times. Each time we were told they were on their way. Two of the times we called, the person on the phone did not speak clear English. After 45 min., someone arrived. They were very nice but we had to walk through the snow to board the van despite the parking lot being clear. Throughout our entire stay, no one ever offered to open our door and it was quite difficult to open from the outside as well as the inside. When I called from the airport we were told our room was ready and we could check in early-great!, almost 2 hrs early. When we arrived at Stonebridge to check-in, the chaos worsened. The young lady at the desk allowed several people to interrupt our process while we just stood there. She appeared very overwhelmed. We were told our packet was ready so she called someone from the back to come and prepare our keys? I thought everything was ready? Finally we get our keys after a significant wait. The shuttle continued to our Capital Peak building. As we settle into our room, it only became more frustrating. We went to the ski lockers to store our skis. We had no keys for the locker. They were left out of our packet. We called the desk again and after a long hold we’re told they would bring us the keys and they were apologetic. They responded quickly and brought the keys. As we place our skis in the locker we find the lock is not working. Luckily my brother knew how to repair the lock in a matter of minutes. Off to the market-it’s close so we walked. As we return to prepare our dinner, we find we have no sponges for the kitchen. Another call to front desk w/an extended hold and someone that could not understand us and we could not understand them either. They brought us sponges after a few minutes along w/ an apology. We start dinner and find the can opener does not work. We were told they would bring us one but could not promise it would be tonight. After using a kitchen knife to attempt to open our cans, I knocked on the neighbor’s door and borrowed theirs. BTW, their toilet would not work. A couple of hrs later, someone did bring us a new can opener. Here is a list of some of the other issues w/the unit.||None of the TV’s worked. Thankfully my brother was able to Google how to reset the TV’s and he was able to take care of that issue.||Neither of the exterior doors to the two balconies would lock.||The light over the stove was out. The microwave turntable did not turn (yes I know how to turn on the turntable). The refrigerator had several broken parts, could not use a couple of shelves, the plate on the outside ice-maker was broken and would not stay on. ||Master - shower dripped constantly, the faucet worked well but part of the handle was broken. I had to replace the front of one of the drawers of the vanity and one in the kitchen, using a knife as a screwdriver. Linens were just thrown in the room. The first towel I used was ragged and had POOL written on it. There were plenty of linens. ||The door frames to both bedrooms were loose. ||The fan in the master did not work, the humidifier in the living room did not work. The washer had standing water in the detergent dispenser that could not be removed. That is gross. ||Couch appeared to come from a yard sale but was fairly comfortable.||There were other issues but you get the idea. ||This unit is poorly managed. The shuttle was late every time we used it and the person on the phone gave us a different answer each time. We called for a ride to the airport then night before our flight. She had difficulty comprehending our request. The day of checkout, we followed the directions we were given. Due to previous issues, we called in the am to confirm our airport shuttle. We called FIVE TIMES to the transportation number (front desk) and were given a different answer each time. On the fifth call, we finally had someone else on the line and they acted like we had never requested a ride. Within ten minutes, we finally had a ride-fifty minutes later than requested. The family in the van w/us stated they had similar issues. ||Our room number was 3226. We will never stay in a property managed by this...
Read morefeel compelled to express my dissatisfaction with what was, without a doubt, an experience far below our expectations for such a well-planned vacation.||As mentioned previously, we have been choosing Snowmass for our winter holidays for several years and have always had a positive experience. This was our second stay at Capitol Peak, having stayed also in 2023, and we were consistently satisfied with the quality of the services and the facilities.||However, upon arriving at unit 3034, we immediately noticed that the apartment was much colder than expected. We contacted maintenance right away, and a technician informed us that the heating controls were off and that the temperature would normalize within a few hours. Unfortunately, this did not happen, and the issue persisted throughout all our stay. Over the following days, we had several technicians and even engineers visiting the unit, but the problem was never resolved effectively.||The situation became even more frustrating when, with each new technician visit, we were promised that portable heaters would be delivered within a few hours – something that only happened on the last night of our stay. As a result, our family spent nearly the entire time in coats, enduring indoor temperatures that ranged between 67 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 19°C), as shown in the attached photos.||Sadly, as a consequence of this situation, all members of our family contracted Influenza A H1N1, as evidenced by the medical tests I am attaching. The experience of staying in a cold and uncomfortable environment for the duration of our vacation not only affected our rest but also had an impact on our health.||We understand that unforeseen issues can arise, but given the severity of the situation and the impact on our experience, we find it unacceptable that the service quality was so far below expectations, especially considering the amount paid for the stay. Capitol Peak has always had an excellent reputation, and the price charged reflects the expectation of high-quality service, which, unfortunately, did not...
Read moreWe stayed at the Capitol Peak Lodge right before Christmas. It was amazing. The location is awesome. We are close by the ice skating, a 3 to 5 minute walk to the lifts and restaurants. There's also a small gondola at the edge painted red, blue, and yellow where you can get a ride to more restaurants and shops. ||||We stayed at the room with the piano in building B. It was the perfect location, right above the spas. We could see if the spa was full or empty and head over there when it is empty. Also, the room had a washer and dryer which was perfect for us. They provide coffee, laundry detergents, soap, everything like a hotel/airbnb. ||||The free airport pick up and drop off was nice. They also take you the the grocery store where you can get all organic selection to make your own meals. ||||They don't have a phone in room but you can call them with your mobile phone for everything. ||||Overall, it was an awesome location, condo, service. Totally 5 stars and perfect for us, family with...
