We ate here on Wednesday night, July 21st, our last night in the area. We were excited for some good Italian food, based on the reviews we read on Google. To start, They seemed annoyed when we walked in and didn't have a reservation, despite the fact that I called 15-20 min before we got there and they said we didn't need one. I wanted the beef carpaccio that was on the meny outside the restaurant... The whole reason for going there... They no longer had it.
Our food was not good like the reviews claimed. The food was bland, not seasoned at all, and very over priced. The kid's ravioli tasted like it was out of a can. My husband had the basil pasta and had to add so much salt and parmesan cheese to even make it taste like something, and it was and extra $9 to add chicken! I had the Carbonara de Parma and the initial bite was good, but it also lacked flavor and enough sauce to cover the noodles. The flatbread my daughter ordered was also bland. But she didn't care as much as we did. This place was confused as to what it wanted to be, there was ambiance that it wanted to be fancy, but there was a TV above the bar with the game show network on. They put a decanter of water on our table, but didn't pour it for us. They didn't check on us after we got our food. It was definitely not worth the $100+ we spent here on 2 adults and 2 kids entrees. I'd skip this place and find...
Read more4 stars for an accommodating and delicious pizza joint. Around 8 of us were looking for some food and popped upstairs to Slice to grab some pizza. Getting up and down the stairs in ski boots was a bit annoying but we made it. They quickly set up a table outside for all 8 of us and got us some water. We went with 3 pizzas and had them in under 15 minutes. We had a mammoth which was delicious, a couple people were a little turned off by the amount of meat when reading the menu but when it came everyone loved it. We got an Anderson Ranch Hand BBQ which everyone also enjoyed. Some of our party was being difficult so they got a large with onion, bell pepper, half sausage, half pepperoni. I didn't really care for it, I thought it was a bit dry and not super flavorful. It also was over $30 and the most expensive by far. I would highly recommend getting a customized pizza off the menu and not creating your own. All the pizzas were cooked well and crispy, not crispy like you would find on a New York style pizza but something cooked at a lower temp .At the end everyone enjoyed the Pizza and if I find myself in Snowmass again I would not hesitate to get...
Read moreIt's a busy week, and we try to lower our expectations for a busy time at a ski area. But the service was really bad. One person received a different dish that she ordered, and only after we asked did the server say that the kitchen ran out of one dish and gave her another without asking if the substitute was ok. Who does that without saying anything?! The pizza and pasta were both ok but not great. They charged us $6 for extra bread with burrata, and we got 1 extra piece of bread (3 total for our table of 4), which just seemed like they were mad we asked. Our check had someone else's drinks on it. Also, apparently they automatically charge for doubles (for $15 extra) when one orders a cocktail, even though we didn't order a double and the drink didn't taste strong at all. That's a strange practice that seems a little shady. After all of this, the server was apologetic, but instead of just comping something and letting us go, she brought us free dessert. We appreciated the thought, but by that time it wasn't enough to salvage a bad...
