I’m extremely surprised at the positive reviews given here but I’ll go ahead and rate my experience and observations. I’ll start with pros and move onto why I rated this location 2 stars… This is a new hotel with a modern look. It’s family oriented that includes free breakfast and lots of standard amenities such as a pool, games, etc… The staff is also helpful and informative and I received a $100 credit towards their restaurant which is a real nice gesture. The hotel also offers free EV charging if you rented/own an EV vehicle but this is where the pros end. This resort was built on efficiency to save money. They use water saving shower heads. For being in the mountains where there is an abundance of water, I don’t understand why this resort uses water saving low pressure shower heads. There is also only 1 setting so there’s no way to change the water stream. Another quirk I can’t stand in hotels is the motion sensing thermostats. These are designed to save money for hotels sacrificing comfort for the person(s) renting the room. You will find yourself waking up in a pool of sweat or freezing cold (dependent on the climate). Unless there is motion, the unit shuts off offering no fan/cool/heat. You’ll wake up hot and realize the unit is on but that’s because you moved activating the unit to turn on. You won’t even realize it’s been off throughout the night and wonder why the room is so hot. It was 95 degrees outside. I took a nap in the afternoon only to find i couldn’t sleep comfortably because the unit would shut off every 10-15 min. So every 10-15 min I would wake up sweating as it doesn’t take much to heat the room when it’s 95 degrees outside. A feature that saves the hotel money but at the cost of your comfort. Speaking of comfort… The beds are super ultimate firm. You would barely feel the difference if you were to sleep on the floor. The pillows are also firm. I found myself not even using them. Between the temperature and the bed/pillow quality, for the 3 nights I was there, a good nights rest was lacking where it takes its toll the next day. They also have motions sensors in the bathroom. If there is no movement in the bathroom, the lights turn off. I for one leave a light on in the bathroom so if in the middle of the night I need to wake up to use the bathroom, there is light to guide me to the bathroom so I don’t trip or hit anything. Yet another example of how they save money at your convenience. $45 dollars for “self” parking! Iv traveled to a multitude of hotels across the U.S. and this hotel has the highest price for parking. I’m usually weary about $25 parking but $45? And it’s self parking! Not a fan at all. At $200 a night, that’s nearly 25% of the cost to stay here. If you spent 4 days here, the cost of the parking would get you a free night. They also have courtesy EV vehicles (Audi) you can rent for free. Although I didn’t rent one, my theory is that Audi came to an agreement with the hotel where they offer you a free rental and in exchange, all your information is shared with Audi where they will spam you for a very long time via email, regular mail, text, etc.. as a strategy to sell their car. I seriously doubt you will be made aware of this as it’s probably in the fine print so definitely ask prior to renting this vehicle. Unfortunately, as much as I would like to praise this hotel, I cannot. Just because something is new does not mean it’s of good quality. This resort needs to correct many of its flaws before I would consider returning. It certainly has a lot of potential but as it stands, it’s not a resort I would be returning to.

We had an amazing experience at Limelight Hotel Snowmass. It’s perfectly located in a resort village, which is within walking distance and includes shops and restaurants. There is also a short lift (gondola) to the village- this is free. The staff was amazing at Limelight. They were so friendly, so helpful, and easy to find. They even gave us a small gift for a honeymoon, and invited us to have a free dessert to celebrate our honeymoon. (We skipped the dessert because hubby doesn’t like sweets, which was a bummer because the food was amazing!) In addition to a personable, genial staff, Limelight offered an incredible breakfast. They were extremely accommodating to my dairy intolerance. If I had communicated in advance, they would have been able to make separate items for me during our stay. I didn’t, but they were able to prepare things ad hoc for me. My husband and I still talk about the breakfast, it was that good. During our stay, a kitchen staff-member did fall ill with Covid-19. The hotel was very prompt in alerting guests, and gave them the option to check-out early and take a refund. We felt comfortable enough to stay, because they were so serious about their precautions and sanitizing procedures. Because this impacted the dining area, the last few breakfasts were provided by a local restaurant. The last thing that we really loved was the room itself. It was soo wonderful. We had a balcony with a stunning view of the gondola that went to the top of the mountain (this one is free on Tuesday evenings- I recommend taking it, so you can see the beautiful Maroon Bells and stunning views of the valley). There was ample seating, a cute refrigerator, and we could brew tea with their Keurig. (We did have to request the tea though- it wasn’t included in the Keurig set-up). The bathroom was nice and spacious, and the shower was designed well. We liked the scent of the products (they smelled like key-lime pie or lemongrass). We also appreciated the efforts to be environmentally conscious, including refilling the soap jars and a water bottle station. Audi is the official car of Snowmass, and Limelight had a few electric Audi’s. Guests are allowed to take one out for a test drive, and we had a fun experience with the eTron. The only thing we had trouble with was the space in the gym. There was only one treadmill available to be used, because there had to be one empty piece of equipment between an actively used item. There isn’t a lot that can be done about this issue, since the room itself is small. I just wanted to mention it because it did make working out a challenge. Overall, we had the most amazing experience at Limelight. We would love to come back, and would hope to see some familiar, friendly faces!

Ok. The Limelight Snowmass is off the charts good. As with most hotels in the area, dogs are welcome, so bear that in mind... They do have pet free rooms, so request one if the dander is a concern. Rooms are spacious, bathroom and shower are perfect (the faint scent of bleach was reassuring). We are in the area for a special occasion and when we returned to the room on night one, there was a nice card and selection of sweet treats. Thank you. There's Trek Townie e-bikes for guests to use free of charge. The 4-6pm happy hour had all draft beer pints for $5, fresh pizzas for $10... And the list went on. We had the two pools/hot tubs to ourselves, I can imagine how this place must rock in the winter season. This hotel is centrally located. In the winter the pools are next to the villages ice rink. In the summer, the rink is a green space. Much less expensive than the Aspen Limelight, yet only 15 minutes away. There were a couple of items that I thought could use addressing. 1: The pillows are very small and square. No real head or neck support for me. Also, the parking situation. You CAN NOT drive up to the front door of this property, you enter underneath it via a parking garage (see picture). We spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out.... Here's the deal: Turn left as you enter parking structure. There's an intercom to get the front desk to open the Limelight Hotel door, park, and take elevator to lobby. Easy, once you know how, parking was $45 a day. The breakfast.. which was cooked, was also off the charts with a great selection of hot and cold options. Be advised, there's plenty of constructing around the back of the hotel, this didn't effect us at all. All in all, we’re giving the Limelight Snowmass two thumbs up and special shout out to Robin on the desk, super helpful. Good job all around.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel!!!! I don't write reviews often, but this hotel really exceeded my expectations and everyone should know how great they are, so it's definitely worth the time!

I've stayed at quite a few hotels and have to say this is one of my FAVORITES. The rooms were AWESOME – new, clean, modern, mini kitchen with a keurig, full bottles of soaps/lotions. The beds were comfortable and the balcony views were GORGEOUS.

I really can't rave enough about the service of the staff & housekeeping staff. We brought our pups with us and on-top of them being dog-friendly, they even provided us with a dog bed & dog bowls. So sweet! I'm a little high maintenance when staying at hotels 🙄 (always calling front desk to get more hangers, towels, salt/pepper, ironing board, etc.) and every time I called they were there within minutes.

One thing that really motivated me to write this review was the HONEST & efficient housekeeping staff. I left my Apple watch (and apparently a few other items, whoops!) after I checked out and thought it was gone forever, but I called the hotel thinking it was worth a shot and they said they had it and they'll ship it to me!!! I was THRILLED. I feel like it's rare to come across such honest people these days, so kudos to the housekeeping staff!

Another thing that really struck me was when we put a "do not disturb" sign on the door (b/c we went rafting & dogs were in the room) when we got back, there was a message on our phone from the front desk saying if we needed anything such as fresh towels, etc. feel free to call them. It's simple, but it was a nice gesture and they went out of their way to give us a call. That's what you call awesome service people!!

Lastly, what really set this hotel apart from others was the amount of fun activities there is to do! Can't wait to bring my kiddos back here one day!! They have endless amounts of lawn games they put out everyday and put on activities such as a movie night w/ a big projecter on the lawn. So much fun!!!

Would highly, highly, recommend this hotel!!! Thank you Limelight for making our experience in Aspen/Snowmass such a great one. We'll be back...
