At 49 years old, I finally got to the place I wanted to see since I was 10. I have an obsession for blueberries that no one will ever match. I first wanna say how impressed I was with the vivacious downtown of South Haven. I didn’t expect much when I came, but thoroughly enjoyed being here. Near a busy crosswalk right on the main drag is The Blueberry Store. Keep in mind that their inventory shuffles; I wanted blueberry brats (YES, they exist) that are sold out as soon as they arrive. It’s best to come here during early hours since it can be busy and items can clear out easily. For amazing blueberry cheesecake ice cream, head a block west to Kilwin’s. Phoenix Street is absolutely wonderful to stroll around, and don’t miss the picturesque downhill pier...

New appreciation for grocery store blueberries. This is from a farm? I ordered 16 pints of "Fresh Blueberries", shipped on Tuesday 7/19 arrived Wednesday 7/20. Great box. That's it. Pints sideways in the box (see pic) and opening, spilling contents. The other pic is what I salvaged after picking up every last blueberry to see what I could save (in strainer) through 4 pints. The white container is all the overripe, crushed, split and useless product. The next 12 pint containers were no better. Blueberries crushed in the lids of the pint containers. So if you're in South Haven, Michigan it is understood that you are there in a tourist and easy going mindset. You are not there to do any practical shopping. This place is entire theme is Blueberries and they are not kidding about it. They have many products that you would not have imagined could even be synthesized from blueberries, but they do. It is fun to browse around, but also some of their items are delicious. Such as the blueberry blossom honey, the blueberry pancake syrup and the blueberry lemonade just to name a few.
